Chapter 72: Fight or Flight

Edol's worst nightmares were coming true. In just moments, a wave of eight-legged monstrosities would wash over him, spreading their venom through his body. Soon afterward his internal organs would melt, and the spiders would be able to drink him like a smoothie.

"Edol! Over here!"

Edol looked back over at Will and Seph. The two looked similarly panicked at the thought of being eaten by spiders.

"There's a gap here! I think I can fit through!"

Right along the floor of the cavern, Will found a small gap between the ground and the wall. It looked much too small for a human to fit through, but attempting to was still better than being smoothie'd by a horde of spiders.

Will stripped off the backpacks that he'd been carrying, throwing them to the ground next to the opening. The teen then lay down, stretching out his neck as he tried to observe the space within the gap.

"It opens up! Hurry!"
