Chapter 541: 78.8 Ambush

Dragging Aria along, the blades of grass beneath my feet felt like annoying obstacles as I put my all into getting us to safety. We didn't have a lot of time to waste, and we had to get Grigori out of the fight before he got completely overwhelmed- That smell!

Before I could even shout out what's happening, I managed to push Aria away from me before jumping out of the now charred vegetation in front of me. The smell of ozone was something that I'll never forget; such a power being the reason that I was in this mess to begin with.

Getting up, I saw that Aria had already received the message as she gathered water towards her body. Standing right outside of the treeline, the woman that I knew to be Dame Statisch was standing with her staff pointed upwards.

"S-stop right there!" the Primzahl stuttered out, her meek decorum juxtaposing the gigantic cloud of lightning forming above her. "I-I won't hesitate to strike you down!"
