Flashing her a smile, I placed a hand on her head. As usual, she melted under my touch, thus re-establishing my rightful position in the pecking order as the big sister in our relationship. "You do that, Lise. Make sure to stay alert for any sort of changes we might have to do on the road."

Predictably, she blushed at me with a smile on her face. At this point, why did I even get bothered seeing it? It wasn't like my sister's making moves on me. Well, more than usual, I suppose.

"G-got it, Brother!"

I let out a sigh as I felt my sister finally leave me to my lonesome. I could only assume that she was already taking her place in front of the engine. The earlier fuss of looking for each and everyone's place in the APC had quietened somewhat, the only sounds now filtering in being minor shuffles and casual movement as they waited for me to give the signal.
