With a reluctant smile, I gave her the warmest smile possible as I resorted to my usual reply of ruffling her hair with my right hand. I might've needed to stand on my toes a bit to reach her, but Lise's radiant smile made it all worth it. "I know, Little Sis. I know..."

Lise blushed and panted lightly at my ministrations like usual. I didn't really care anymore how my sister would react to my usual signs of sibling affection. What's important was that she knew I loved her and that she loved me in return.

I chuckled, "Now, let's wait for them, I guess."

I wouldn't dare to stand in between two former Primzahls if they ever came to blows. I might get a front-row seat for the action, but me being involved would just put a damper on my mood. It was best to wait till they settled their differences.
