What the hell was I supposed to do now?

Waking up from my earlier stint with the killer bear, the twins had quickly moved to make sure that I was doing well despite the drain I had subjected to my system. Anna had urged me to not get out of bed, and Mathilde had made quick work of the bear corpse that lay undisturbed outside. I protested against the babying, of course, but I was both outnumbered and outgunned in terms of pushing my own will against them if they really wanted otherwise. Not to mention the fact that I was positively sure that I was running a slight fever from sheer exhaustion.

"Hey..." I called out to Anna who seemed to be cooking something in a pot. A stew or soup, perhaps? "How're you guys doing?"

"Fine, thank you," Anna casually responded, the smell of what she was cooking permeating through my nose. "I should be asking that of you, y'know?"

Fair enough. "I'll be good with a day's rest. Don't worry."
