Chapter 290: 44.8 Potential

Pain. Pure unadulterated pain wracked my body as the pleasant pressure from before turned into a raging hellfire; a blender of agony and suffering radiating directly from inside my body.

"AARRHGHG!!!"

Flare's scream melded with my own as my whole torso felt like it was being ripped apart from the seams. The constant churn in my stomach seemed to aggravate the situation as what was once a calm rhythm in my chest turned into a roiling fury that just wouldn't stop; the cool feel of my Seigel Wesen clashing violently with the fiery Elementar Wesen in my veins.

"MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!"

My wails threatened to make my throat turn into mush as I felt Flare try to pull away from me of her own accord. With my flailing about, I could only hope that what I was grabbing was my alter ego as I pushed with all my might; my mind desperately hoping that doing so would stop the forces tearing my body apart from making me go insane.
