Chapter 69: 69. Final Goodbye

``Inevitable breakup`` The words resounded in her head. And now she could see why he was doing this.

He was hurting... Hurting from past experiences, hurting from previous heartbreaks. He was hurting because he had placed his trust in someone or ones, and he had been betrayed.

He didn't say all these things, but she could tell from the anger in his voice that he had been through some heart-wrenching breakups in the past. 

She could suddenly understand his anger and plight. And she almost hated him for this.

For treating her like this based on his past experiences. For judging her love for him because his former loves didn't go well.

For making the conclusion that since the people he had placed trust in before had betrayed him, she'd probably do the same.

She hated the fact that he had little to no faith in her, and instead was stuck in his past pain.
