Chapter 165: The Unexpected Apology

The truth came out a few weeks ago.

Linda unintentionally spilled the beans during her crying fits. Kevin was trying hard to coax her after what Richard had almost done; slapping her during their argument.

"This is... hic... your brother's fault! Why did he leave... just because of that money? Mom only borrowed it! He said... I stole from him!"

Kevin was horrified. This was the first time he heard about this. Doubting his own ears, he pushed the crying Linda to elaborate.

"Mom... what do you mean? Big Brother left because... of money?"

Instead of fearing her beloved son would condemn her, Linda kept on talking as if she was short on the fuse. She kept on crying and complaining about Lucas.

"It's Lucas' fault! Mom asked him for money but he said he didn't have it! You know what? Mom found it in his room! He dared to hide it from me?!"
