Asher dismissed Caleb after receiving the report about his grandmother. He glanced at the analog clock sitting on a corner of the working desk, finding that it already pointed to half-past four.

His grandmother's health was getting better, Asher trusted what the doctor relayed to his family. She just needed additional monitoring from the people around her.

The name echoed in his mind even when he tried not to think about her.

Asher half-closed his eyes, recalling when he met her at the hospital a few days ago. Liliana appeared so shaken but, she still stubbornly pushed him away. 

What could he do to make her listen to him?

Asher exhaled a sigh. He stretched out a hand, randomly pulling out the drawer of his working desk. Something got caught in his line of sight.
