Chapter 232: A nephew and an uncle

''How much longer do we have?!'' With the frosty wind caressing her face quite harsly, Isla called out, anxiously asking the man behind her.

''Soon...'' Dante's voice came as a reply.

'But you said that hours ago....' Isla bit her lips, her fingernails nervously digging her plam. Right now, she and Dante were on a horse, riding as fast as its four legs could gallop to a forest on the outskirts of the west.

Isla wanted to argue right away, but kept her lips together knowing the reality of this current situation. They couldn't just appear where Damien was in one second and the entire empire was in war with unknown enemies.

The fact that her ex-husband kept her safe while trying his best as he could to reach the west was something equivalent to hope that she could hold onto for her son.

Not to mention that they were riding a horse in the night.
