Chapter 101: Dante and the Empress (3)

''Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha–Ugh!''

With his gloved hand on his chest, Dante held tightly onto one of the pillars outside the empress's palace. His eyes went shut at the stabbing sensation in his chest, as he tried to calm his rapid breathing. He was hyperventilating, and it was not the first time. Ever since he had discovered the truth from annalise, he tends to have episodes about his breathing problems.

Most times, the trigger would be his recurring nightmares or anytime he recalled the past when he used to mistreat his wife because of annalise.
