Chapter 56: Chapter Fifty Six: The Consequence
Keera now knew that she had to find a way to get Penny and Ember away from Adette though she wasn't quite sure how she could accomplish this. As far as power was concerned, Keera was severely outmatched and so a direct confrontation would not work. Though she was clever, Keera was all to aware of the danger she was putting herself in.
" Not to mention, those two are not going to be happy to see me" Keera muttered to herself. She had just betrayed them not too long ago and so there would most definitely be a massive struggle no matter what Keera did.
" I also don't really have an understanding of what Adettes plans are with them so that is another issue. Are they even still alive? " Keera couldn't be sure. " Dammit..how do I always find myself in situations like this" Keera had spent a large portion of her life of making allies only to then betray them, the vampires, the Witches, and even the Lycans on some level.
It was always about survival to her, surviving another day until she could achieve all that she wanted too. Her goals weren't originally to leave but, in light of all the things that had happened recently, she felt it would be for the best. Though, she had hopes of returning once things calmed down.
" Well, if I don't make it out of this, then at the very least I need to try and explain things to the right people..to Penny. She deserves to know the truth" Keera didn't hate Penny, she was infuriated with her and the way she did certain things but she didn't hate her. And though she asked Adette to torture her, she didn't mean it..not truly. And on some level, she felt like Adette wouldn't follow through with it either way. But, there was a level of vengeance that Keera wanted on Penny though it would have to be sorted out at a later time.
" Well, I guess we have to see if I can truly make this happen or not"
