"There is nothing wrong with you feeling this way especially for someone you have feelings for. It is actually normal. There is nothing wrong nor abnormal about it." She told him. "Have you told her how you feel?" She asked.
"Yes, I have." He replied.
"And?" Bridget asked impatient.
"She want someone else Aunt B." He said with a resigned voice. "I'm not suppose to be mad about that beside, it's her life. But I feel led on. I thought we were headed somewhere. Then suddenly, she pushes me out. I guess I never stood a chance. Maybe she was just holding on to me while she look around for who she want." He complained.
"What do you want to do then." Bridget asked wishing to know his plans. Having known and lived with Simon for a very long time, she knew that love wasn't his thing. She could swear that he has never fallen in love before now. He's been so focused on making a name for himself that she doubted love meant a thing to him especially after being through a lot with his family and the events that led to the death of his mother as well. So, seeing him like this, she was scared. Scared that he might over react since this was new to him. He has money and power, he is also in love. Money, power and love are three powerful things and she was bothered he might end up misusing the first two thereby loosing the later.
"Nothing for now." He replied. "I want to visit Galvile later in the day. I need time and space to take care of myself. Especially, my emotional and mental health." He told her. "Aunty B, I've never felt this way before. I don't even know what to do nor how to react. The feeling is so painful that I wonder how people keep falling in love after several heartbreaks." He told her with a weak smile.
Bridget smiled back at her nephew. "I know my love." She said. "But love is foolish, stupid and causes increased rate of adrenaline. You just can't control anything anymore. It makes you helpless, clueless and sometimes hopeless. I'm actually happy that you got to experience Love. It's a beautiful thing." She told him honestly.
"We have different definition of beautiful Aunt B." He smiled at her trying his best to hide the sadness he was feeling within. Bridget smiled back.
"How soon do you plan on visiting your ranch?" She finally asked remembering that he mentioned a visit to Galvile earlier.
"I'll be going today. Right this morning. I have a lot on my plate today.." he said yawning. "Will you be able to make it down for my sister's wedding Aunt B?" He further asked.
"It depends." She started. "I'll visit you at Galvile by the middle of the week, I don't want you to be all alone and so lonely. Maybe I'll finally attend Lawyer Junior's wedding from there. Her wedding is definitely one that I would love to attend. I just hope your step mother will take my presence at the wedding as a goodwill gesture even though I don't plan on being friends with her." Bridget said.
Simon smiled. He knew how difficult it was for Bridget to finally accept that Emily meant well. When he was with her at England, she had shut the whole family out and prevented them from visiting him. But then, Emily never gave up. So with time, she finally saw that Emily meant well. "For the hundredth time Aunt B, it's Anna and June. Or you can just refer to them as my sisters." Simon repeated with a warm smile.
"Aren't they lawyers? Besides why did your naive step mother forced the two of them into law? What happened to other professions? What happened to Business Administration, Medicine, Engineering et cetera. Must it be law?
"Nobody forced them into Law. That was what they wanted to do. They were not forced. Why would somebody force them to do what they don't want to?" Simon asked rhetorically.
"I should be asking you." Bridget replied with a lazy smile. "Anyway, your step mother and her Lawyer's apart. How are you generally?" She asked.
"I'm fine. Thank you so much for always being there for me. Honestly, I would really appreciate your presence at Galvile. Thank you for taking it upon yourself to always see that I'm fine. I'm hoping I'll see you soon yeah?" He asked.
"Sure, I'll be there soon and you're welcome. You should know that I'll do anything for you son. For all I know, you're still my little Simon and I've vowed to take care of you no matter what. Now, stand up from bed and go take a shower, you look terrible." She instructed him with a warm smile. "And ensure you take breakfast before leaving the house as well " she further said.
"Alright then." Simon said adjusting in his seat. I'll talk to you soon ma."
"Alright," Bridget replied. "Call me by evening when you're settled at the ranch will you?"
I definitely will Aunt B." He replied waving at her. "Bye."
"Bye son." Bridget waved back by hanging up.

Felix knocked on his brother's door ignoring the door bell as he waited patiently to be allowed inside. After waiting for a while with no response, he pushed the door open and stepped inside to meet Frankie fast asleep. It was almost seven in the morning and Felix who was unable to sleep well all through the night found himself heading to his brother's room in need of answers from the scene he saw the previous night. He moved over to the windows and opened them up drawing the curtains to the side. "Young man, wake up. It's morning." He called to his brother whose sleep was finally interrupted from the ray of sunshine coming from the window.
"What the hell Fe!!" Frankie exclaimed angrily as the first ray of the rising sun hit him.
"Get up, it's morning." Felix said ignoring his complaints. He took a seat on the empty couch beside the bed.
"What is it that you want?" He asked angrily sitting up on the bed.
"What were you doing with Fiona Ruben last night?" Felix asked impatiently. He honestly needed answers so he had no business with beating around the bush.
"Fiona Ruben?" Frankie asked. "What are you saying Fe." He asked again.
"Do not act dumb with me Frankie. Don't even try it. You know what I'm saying, so tell me." Felix said.
"Fe, I honestly do not have any idea of what you're saying. I do n......"
"Why then were you choking her last night Frankie? You'd better star talking." Felix interrupted him.
Franklin stood up from the bed immediately. He quickly rushed to the door of his room and turned the lock before proceeding to shut the windows. "Who told you such rubbish?" He asked after making sure of their privacy.
"Nobody did." Felix replied. " I saw you choking her." He replied.
"Come on Fe, that is a very big accusation. I wasn't choking her. I get it, that might be what you think you saw. But we were just talking. There was no physical assault whatsoever. Maybe you saw it all from a different angle. We were just talking." Franklin defended.
"What were you talking about?" Felix asked eyeing his brother.
Frankie paced round the room restlessly before finally settling down on his bed facing a calm Felix who all along was eyeing his brother as he paced round the room. "Now that you're sitted, I'd like to let you know that I know what I saw and I'm not some baby you get to feed with lies. Having said that, I'm all ears now. Start talking because I'm not as patient as I look presently." Felix said.
Franklin looked at his brother as he contemplated within him if he should tell him the whole truth or a half baked truth. He finally settled for the later. "You have to promise not to blow it up or ruin it." Frankie stated.
"How can I make a promise when I don't even know what I'm going to ruin?" Felix asked. He looked at his brother impatiently and when Franklin didn't bulge, he decided to play along. "Okay, fine. I promise." He finally said.
"Good." Frankie replied as he started his narration. "I had a deal with Fiona. I found out that she was obsessed with Kentley. So, we struck a deal." He paused and looked at his brother who had an expressionless appearance. "We agreed that she would focus on winning Kentley while I focus on Paige. Our jobs were to get Kentley and Paige off each other's back. Well, I did my part well enough but she ruined hers and last night, she threatened me. She threatened to expose me." He told his brother. "When you saw me, I was only trying to make ensure she won't follow through with her threats. That was all Fe, nothing more." He explained.
"Wait," Felix said sitting up with shock written all over his face.
