Chapter 63: Chapter 63: Psychology

Paige looked up from the menu dropping it low on the table. She stared straight at him with her cheekbones high and sharp. "I doubt that Simon." She replied. As she stared at him, she felt his dark eyes piercing through her. If she wasn't so strong willed and stubborn about her feelings, she would have wilted under Simon's gaze this instant. Simon drew closer to her and both stared directly at each other separated by just few inches. He dropped his gaze on her lips and gently bit his lower lip as a cue. "No." Paige said

He leaned even more closer with his eyes fully focused on her lips. god! Simon was too good at seduction. Paige's whole body were suddenly set on fire. She tried pushing back the urge to grab him by the neck and kiss him. "Yes Sunflower." He whispered almost bringing down Paige's solid walls.

"No Simon." Paige said in a more confident yet shaky voice hoping and praying silently that he retreats.

"Okay." She suddenly heard him say. "I just need you to know that I'm not giving up Sunflower." He said falling back to his seat as the waiter chose that moment to walk in with their wine.

After several glasses of wine,  a plate of peppered salmon and gizzard, macaroni and fugu. Paige felt too full and slightly drunk. Simon emptied the last of the wine into her glass. Once again, he drew closer to her and offered to give her the wine while she protested. "I can't take anymore wine." She told him. I can't."

"Alright, would you like to eat anything else?" He asked in a soft husky voice still close to her.

"What Simon? Where am I going to put it?" She asked with a weak smile. "I am so full and....."

"And beautiful," Simon interrupted her. "Gorgeous, Exciting......"

"Simon stop." She interrupted him. "Stop this please."

"Why Baby." He asked as he moved his hands around in search of his favorite spot. Paige knew where his hands were paving their way to and the amazing anticipation was undeniable. "Here you are." Simon said in a soft tone, gently caressing the crown of her ear. She couldn't stop the shudder that followed at his gentle touch. His touch was replaced by his lips on her ear and she let out a moan inwardly. His other hand traced it's way to her thigh and came in contact with Paige's arm which she have turned into a fist as she was consumed by the nerve wrecking sensation.

"No Simon." She said once again in a low and weak voice. Even to herself, Paige knew she sounded weak.

Simon couldn't believe her weak reply so he asked her. "Is it really no sunflower." He took in her parted lips and sucked into it not allowing her the chance to answer. Paige welcomed his mouth to her own surprise. He sucked, pulling and ran his tongue over her whole mouth and Paige responded by kissing him back coupled with inward moans and pleasurable whimpers. Simon gently untangled Paige's hand and suddenly unlocked his lips with hers. "Be mine Paige Patterson." He whispered. His words hit Paige straight in the head suddenly pushing her out of the sensual spell.

"No Simon," she replied regaining her senses. "Maybe in another world."

"But why? Why did you insist on torturing yourself. I've fallen head over heels in love with you. I'm not lying, I'm not in denial, I don't even doubt it. But you, you keep pushing your feelings away. Why?" He asked in a hurt and cracked voice.

"Simon, you're my Boss. I work for you. I live under your roof. I have no friends nor family here. I practically spend my whole day at home every single day and I see you almost everyday. Having feelings for you can be as a result of the fact that I don't even see other people. You are practically the only male I see and relate to everyday. It's psychology Simon, one of us or the both of us are bound to have feelings for each other." Paige tried explaining.

Simon smiled dryly. He wanted to engage her in a lengthy conversation and let her know why he doesn't agree with her psychology bullshit but he knew it was going to be a very lengthy one that might involve strong arguments. So, he decided to let it be. If the conversation had started at home, it would have been his pleasure to indulge her whole heartedly. "Okay, if this is what you think, then I'm fine with it." He replied. "I feel better hearing your explanation. At least, I feel a lot better knowing why you keep pushing me away." He told her.

"Kentley," Tenor called coming to their table. "Miss Patterson." He nodded at Paige who nodded back in return as a form of greeting as well. "How would you rate our services?" Tenor asked Paige.

Paige flashed him a charming smile."the food is lovely," she started. "The ambiance is so cozy and royal, I love it all. Kudos to you Tenor, your restaurant is so beautiful."

"And pocket wrecking." Simon chipped in. "Always add that please." He said with a sarcastic smile.

"Kentley, you? You are talking about pocket wreck? May I sit?" Tenor asked Paige.

"Of course." Paige replied.

"Why do you keep talking to her alone. I'm right here. Old wines are more tastier my friend." Simon said erupting a laughter from the people on the table.

"Miss Patterson, has he told you of his pocket wrecking adventures at England. He even initiated me into it." Tenor said.

"No, he hasn't." Paige said laughing.

"Oh, I knew he wouldn't. Let me tell you about it, all of it."

"T, do not bore her with stories of foolish childhood experiences please. She doesn't want to know. Right?" He asked Paige with a pleading expression. She understood that whatever it was Tenor wanted to talk about, Simon didn't want her to hear it. So out of pity, she nodded in agreement.

"Yes, I don't think I want to hear to it yet." She said to a Tenor smiling.

"Okay, anything you say Miss. Patterson." Tenor smiled back

"Paige, just call me Paige." She said to him nod with a wide smile. "The name of your restaurant, you are Tenor, who is Bralle?" She asked.

"Bralle is my wife." He replied. "She's not here right now. But we'll be present at June Kentley's wedding. Definitely, you'll get to see her then." Tenor said.
