"She came to me, I didn't go to her, she said she was an old friend and told me everything about the woman in the picture saying she's my ex-lover. I need an explanation for this." Falcon stated sitting on the couch next to him. From the astonished look on his parent's faces, he could tell they were hiding something.
Though Vieve asked him not to get anyone involved he was tired of the confusion. For weeks he's tried to find out who the woman in the picture is, and the only information he has is her being linked to Mr. Wilson. They're married and have three unknown kids together, they even got married right before his accident. If all this already happened why did that woman say she belongs to him?
He met his mother's gaze, "She told me you hated her and never wanted me to be with her." The last thing Mrs. Dior wanted is to endanger the life of her son again. They've tried as much as they could to erase all the memory of Hazel from their lives till Vieve's sudden visit. From the moment she saw the girl she knew her visit was a bad one.
She had earlier proposed telling Falcon about his past but was shut immediately by Mr. Dior himself. Now she's put her son into the same mess as before. "I've never seen such a woman in my life son, how can an already married woman be yours? It's not possible my love." "Remember, I love you so much to accept any woman of your choice, besides you said you found a girl you're willing to introduce to me." She cupped his face with her hands, speaking calmly as her words went right through his head.
These are the many gifts Mrs. Dior has, and she knows just the right time to use them. Falcon nodded at her words, she was right anyway, there's no way he can be in love with an already married woman. Maybe that's why he hated her from the moment he met her. "Yes I met a girl here in London a few months back, we've been talking since then, I'll invite her over for dinner next week so you could meet her." He smiled.
Mrs. Dior gets somewhat relieved by his words, it's a good thing he doesn't recall a thing about Hazel, else they can't tell what Alex will be willing to do this time. "We'll be waiting for her." She said.
.
"I should have told you about your husband long ago, but I know you'd be blinded by the love you have for him," Sage said taking a sip from her juice. It's been a week now, and today marks the end of the week since I and Alex got separated. He might be here to give the divorce papers himself or send his lawyers.
He didn't apologize like he always does but was quick to divorce me. He never tried to explain the situation as my Alex would do, but rather he left furious at me. Did I judge him wrongly, everything Kendrick said to me, are they true?
These thoughts have been battling me for days now, maybe I should have listened to him before judging. "Hazel." Sage's words broke me off my daze, "hmmm." "Are you serious? I've been calling for quite some time now, is everything alright with you?" "Yes, just got lost in my thoughts that's all." I gave a reassuring smile to clear her doubt.
Maybe when Alex comes with the divorce papers today, we might be able to talk things out and settle whatever it is we have to settle. "Good day ma'am, there's a man in the lounge awaiting your presence." A maid announced. My eyes lit up immediately, it could be Alex, maybe as promised he's here to give the divorce papers.
It's time for me to settle whatever made us apart, but what if everything Kendrick said about him is true? What if he's a drug lord or a mafia king? What if he killed his father and blamed those innocent people for it? What if he admits that Phillip's grandfather was just someone he used to confess his crimes?
He said mere words cannot stop him from what he is, so how can I stop him? I was so eager to see Alex but at the same time scared, scared at what we've become. Just a week ago we were happy as usual, but now...
"Who could that be?" Sage asked, "I don't know, but please wait here I'll be right back." I stepped out of the room taking in deep breaths and breathing out to calm my nerves. Our last encounter was terrible, I've realized my mistakes and I'm ready to make amends. Alex is right, I shouldn't listen to people's tales about him, if at all there's anything anyone has said, I should confine in him first before judging.
I got into the lounge to see his figure, "Alex I'm so sorry for ever doubting you...." "I'm over here Mrs. Wilson, that's just my bodyguard. I'm afraid that apology is too late." A man sitted on the lounge spoke to me. My thoughts were clouded with Alex that I didn't wait to study the room before stepping in or making a fool of myself. The guard turned around to meet my gaze with a bow.
"Where's Alex?" "I'm sorry, my boss couldn't make it today, he's out of the country attending to important matters. I'm his lawyer sent to deliver these divorce papers to you, Madam." "Please seat Mrs. Wilson." He added. I couldn't feel my body as it turned numb immediately. I sat on a couch composing myself even if disappointment was written on my face.
Alex has never been this upset with me before.
.
Hands were stretched on a soft mattress, there was not much space on the bed anymore considering the ladies on the same bed with him. Alex carried himself out of the bed, staring back at the ladies there, he had no idea how they got there but knew he had nothing to do with them. "You're finally awake, did you enjoy your night." Alex met the gaze of the man with raised his brows and chin gesturing at the ladies on the bed.
The grin on Tony's lips irked Alex more than ever, "Thought I told you I never wanted this." "Don't get scared your wife won't leave you. At least that's all you were reciting last night, 'Hazel', being a pussy before this hotties." Tony mocked. "Are you sure you still want to divorce that wife of yours cause it seems you haven't gotten over her."
"I get high for one night and you set me up." Alex picked his shirt on the floor hanging it on his shoulders, "Wait we're you heading to, it's still too early to go out." "To you Tony, you have your father's money to squander, I have kids, three spoilt kids that'll start squandering by next year, I have to work Anthony." He stepped into the bathroom.
Tony smiled, aside from Benson and Lukas, Tony's another good friend of Alex from west New Zealand. Tony's another multi-billionaire, one of the guests at Alex's bachelor's party, but not the wedding. He could barely make it there cause of his businesses. In no time Tony sent the ladies away.
