"Emergency captains! The capital is under attack!" shouted the man in mage robes.
Noah had already withdrawn his aura. [Here comes step 2] - Noah mind smirked
[So what is step 2?] - Draco
[The capital is under attack. We beat up some criminals, and show off in the process] - Noah
[I guess if that is your plan, then alright.] - Draco sounded uncertain
A member of the golden dawn used his stone creation magic and created a 3D map that showed the capital live. The voices of the people, the fire that was burning different houses, all of it was on the 3D map.
"Impressive. To cast a spell like that it requires a whole lot of mana" - Noelle
[We got to make a spell like that] - Noah said to Draco
"We'll spread out. Golden dawn split into two teams, you take the west side, and the northwest! Blue rose knight I entrust the east side to you! Central district will be left to you the silver eagles. I'll take the black bulls and head to the north side! Failure shall not be tolerated. MOVE OUT!" -Fuegoleon ordered
"Yes sir!" everyone shouted
Noah, Asta and Noelle followed Fuegoleon, and Leo. They went towards the north side of the city. Feugoleon and Leo were riding a lion made out of fire, while Asta was running. Noelle chose to ride her broom.
Noah was running just like Asta. The two of them were the first to encounter enemies. Asta took out his sword and started slash the zombies.
"Noah!" - Noelle shouted as she saw zombies making their way towards her brother.
"It's ok. You keep going. Stay safe!" - Noah
"hun" - Noelle nodded as she flew away
{Ferrofluid creation magic: Kokken },{Ferrofluid magic: Edex Orbs} Noah cast two spells right away and ran at the horde of zombies .
Noah used his sword for enemies close to him, while he sent three edex orbs to kill the enemies far away.
After about ten minutes, both Noah and Asta had cleaned an entire street.
Asta didn't wait around and ran to the next street, just as Noah was about to follow him, a woman on a broom stick came flying above Noah.
Noah looked up, he saw a woman with long, curly, blonde hair. She has magenta eyes and thick dark eyelashes. She wore a black dress with furry skirt and a black hat with a furry brim and a long conical crown.
"~Hello there cutie. You're so full of magic energy, I want it all. Won't you be kind to this beautiful young lady and give me all your magic?~" - Catherine
"Who the hell are you?" - Noah
"~Oh, I'm just a young lady, and you are exactly what I need. Come here~" - Catherine tried to act cute and ushered for Noah to come closer
"Stop calling yourself young. I can tell your an old hag" - Noah was a little annoyed by her
"What did you call me?" - Catherine
"I said your an Ugly. Old. Hag." - Noah stressed each word
"You worthless brat! I'LL KILL YOU!" - Catherine shouted as her face got twisted with anger.
{Ash curse magic: Joyful destructive ash} Catherine cast a spell, then small dark blackish-purple color wisps flew at Noah
Noah stood there as the wisps hit him, he instantly absorbed them. But he didn't move, he kept standing in the same spot.
"How does it feel to get hit by these little fun things. They're full of so many interesting curses, I wonder which one has it's grasps on you now!" - Catherine laughed like a maniac
"You hit a sore spot for me. I have terrible experience with curses" - Noah said in a quite and threatening tone
"huh?" - Catherine was confused
Noah raised his right hand, {Ferrofluid creation magic: Lancea Inferni}. A black lance with a purple tip appeared in Noah's hand.
Noah pulled his arm back, "Fuck off you ugly bitch!" - Noah said as he threw the lance at Catherine.
The lance flew so fast Catherine had no chance to dodge. The lance blew right through her abdomen at breakneck speed.
Noah approached Catherine as she fell on the ground. "Stay put until someone gets here to take you." {Ferrofluid magic: Impura Salus} a small amount of ferrofluid magic entered Catherine's body and healed her a bit, just enough so she doesn't die.
Noah took her grimoire from her. {Ferrofluid magic: Arachnida Grip} Suddenly eight black spider legs sprung up from under Catherine and grasped around Catherine's body, rendering her immobile.
'Now, where should I head to next' - Noah thought as he spread his mana sense around, trying to figure out where the enemies were.
While Noah was sensing around him, a massive mana signature entered his sensing range. The massive mana signature closed in on him very quickly. Suddenly the area around him got hot.
Looking up Noah saw a slim young girl with a serious expression. She has thick, wavy, pink hair that falls just below her shoulders, and large green eyes. In the center of her forehead is a purple, multi-faceted mage stone that is framed by a red tattoo. The girl was standing on top of the fire spirit salamander, floating a dozen feet off the ground.
[This is a major spirit Noah] -Draco warned Noah
[I know. I also know that girl. That girl is Fana, the... something, I don't remember] - Noah shrugged
[What are you talking about?] - Draco
"Can I help you?" - Noah
"I'm Fana the hateful, the third eye of the midnight sun" - Fana said in a monotone voice
[See, I knew she was Fana the something, it turned to be Fana the hateful. Good thing they introduce themselves] - Noah
[You're taking this way too lightly] - Draco sounded a little scared
[I wanted an excuse to use dragon surge, now we have one] - Noah smirked
"So Fana the hateful from the something something. What do you want?" Noah
"You're a nuisance to our master. I'm here to dispose of you!" - Fana said as her grimoire floated in front of her
{Spirit magic: Salamander's Claw} The salamander's right claw, got coated in an extra layer of fire mana, and slashed at Noah.
Noah jumped up to dodge, though the buildings behind him got slashed into rubble.
{Ferrofluid magic: Hateful Tears} black rain fell from the sky. Hateful tears doesn't cause impact damage, but it's a spell that causes mana burn along with acid touch.
Black drops gently fell on Fana's face, a moment later, Fana's eyes widened in surprise. She didn't expect that her mana would be drained at such a fast pace. Her skin started to melt. Even salamander was feeling uncomfortable under the rain.
She coated herself with mana skin, but the drops that touched her already didn't stop absorbing her mana
{Fire magic: Phoenix Feathers Robe} Fana cast a fire robe over herself to heal herself and burn the ferrofluid still on her skin.
[I wonder if she can burn the ferrofluid first, or will the ferrofluid drain her first] - Draco
[Regardless, we shouldn't stand idly while she's trying] Noah ran towards Fana and salamander.
"Salamander! Don't let him come near us." - Fana ordered as she focused on pushing away the ferrofluid on her. Salamander sent another slash at Noah. Noah dodged again and jumped at the salamander. Salamander flew higher than before.
{Ferrofluid creation magic: Kokken}, mid-air Noah formed the black sword in his hand, {Compound magic: Death Infused Slash}. After creating his black sword, Noah used Draco's mana to cast his second spell.
Noah's black sword got covered with black-purplish sticky liquid-like substances. Slashing his sword at salamander, who's flying high above. A clean black-purplish slash flew from the sword. Salamander felt negative mana from the slash coming his way. With a flap of his wings, salamander tried to dodge, but the attack seemed to travel faster than he expected. One of salamanders wings got cleanly cut off.
All of the sudden, Fana found herself falling towards the ground. "What are you doing salamander! Fix your wing quick!" - Fana shouted at the salamander.
Salamander, tried to regenerate the wing he lost, but there was purple fire-like mist shrouding the cut, no matter how much mana salamander tried to focus on the wound, it didn't heal.
Not long after salamander and Fana crashed to the ground.
"I'll kill you!" With a wave of her hand, eight edged diamond stars float around her.
With another wave, the stars launch at Noah.
Noah used his black sword to deflect and parry the diamond stars.
"You, and your people killed these civilians, that is not something I'll let go. And above that, you came here to kill me. That is an even bigger sin" - Noah sent a flurry of death infused slashes.
Salamander ran around dodging the slashes. But for some reason the slashes seem to be slower than they actually were. Every time salamander would think he has more time to dodge, but the slash would suddenly hit.
Finally after spending so much mana, and concertation, Salamander was able to knock away the black-purplish mist surrounding his cut of wing. But now he had more slashes, at his chest, and legs.
But now salamander can fly again. Quickly re-growing his lost wing, salamander flew higher.
{Spirit magic: Salamander's breath} Salamander breathed out a building sized fire ball, aimed right at Noah.
{Water magic: Water bubble}, out of nowhere a water ball about half the size of salamander's breath came flying in and momentarily blocked the fire ball.
The water ball was not enough to cancel out the fire attack, but it did slow it down and decrease it in size a bit.
"Noah, are you ok?!" - Noelle, came flying in on her broom. She heard the commotion and came to see what was going on. Then she saw a powerful enemy fighting her brother.
"I'm ok. You should go and help the people around to vacate. I can take care of her, but I can't get distracted by the civilians" - Noah
"Yes!" - Noelle took a last look at Salamander flying higher into the sky, before she flew towards the buildings to help the citizens
{Compound magic: Diamond fire laser shot} Fana, created multiple floating smooth surfaced diamonds, while at the same time, salamander shot a thin, highly concentrated orange beam of fire.
The fire hit the first diamond, and then it got deflected off of it, and hit another diamond, and got deflected again. Every time the fire beam hit a diamond, it would get deflected to another one, not just that, but the beam seemed to be faster and hotter after every deflection.
Just as the beam hit the last diamond, it changed color to blue from how hot the beam got. Then the beam went straight at Noah. All of that happened in less than a second, but Noah was able to react.
{Ferrofluid magic: Edex Orbs}, Five black balls formed in front of Noah. As the balls formed, they quickly changed form into a circular disks.
The five disks, lined up, as the beam hit. Three disks were broken instantly, while the fourth started cracking.
{Ferrofluid magic: Lancea Inferni} Noah launched a lance at the flying salamander.
With a flap of its wings, salamander deflected the lance.
"Fine! I'll add more oomph into it" - Noah said as he saw how easily his lance got deflected.
{Compound magic: Death laced lance} The black lance got covered with black-purplish sticky liquid. Noah sent the lance again. Just like every other time, the lance seemed to travel much slower that in actually did. The lance blew right through one of the back legs of Salamander.
Just like all the other attacks, salamander wasn't able to heal from it. The only way is to expand huge amounts of mana, to knock away the black-purplish sticky death mana.
Fana looked at the boy standing there with his black sword in his right hand, while he summoned a black ball in his left hand. Then a black-purplish mana seeped into the ball, giving a purple sheen to the edex orb.
'What is he up to now?' - Fana thought as she saw the black ball of ferrofluid start rotating
Noah let go of his sword, and then concentrated one more death mana mixed edex orb in his other hand. Having two edex orbs, Noah brought his hands together, combining, and condensing them.
Once both edex orbs reached their limit Noah sent the death laced beam at salamander.
"As if I'll let you do that" - Fana summoned a flame vortex, while salamander used his flame breath. Both sent their attacks towards the black beam.
*BOOM*
All three attacks canceled each other out with a loud explosion. The entire area shook from the after shock.
'tch. I never expected him to be that strong. He hasn't gotten his grimoire for long, so how?' Fana was getting irritated with her inability to kill Noah.
"I guess we have to do that, salamander" - Fana said as she concentrated her mana
{Spirit magic: Spirit of Paracelsus}. Salamander started to glow, and became a hot orange silhouette, that then enveloped Fana.
Intense heat wave came from them. The clouds above started to stir from the pressure. Then with a burst of power Fana was wrapped in bright hot red scales, her hands became sharp claws. A long hot red scaly tail came out from her lower back. And two flame wings formed behind her back.
"Spirit dive? She never used that before?" - Noah said to himself
"It makes no difference if you know about spirit dive or not. You'll die here" - Fana said in a threatening tone as her eyes glowed bright orange.
"I don't think I'll die. You see...I have one too"
