SOLAR ENERGY STORAGE (27TH SEPTEMBER, 2018)
There is currently the means of harvesting solar energy and converting it into electricity for use. It appears however that solar energy panels can only be utilized in the daytime. They seem unusable at night and energy seems interruptible by weather patterns such as rain and storms.
Solar Energy still remains a potent source of energy. I believe a major hurdle to cross is in the storage of solar energy taking my reference from the ability of tuber crops to convert the products harvested from photosynthesis into Root Tubers.
Thankfully, energy can be converted into other forms. I believe it should be possible to convert solar energy into forms that can be stored such as battery power. It should be possible to convert solar energy into chemical or electric energy and store it in batteries or massive storage facilities.
Considering the works of other authors especially in the fields of Science and Science Fiction, I believe the ability to store Solar Energy further justifies its production in space facilities as well where technology is abundant. These stored solar batteries could then be transported to earth for use.
SOLAR ENERGY HARVESTING SATELLITES
With the issue of Solar Energy Storage out of the way, satellites could be invented for the sole purpose of harvesting Solar Energy from space and storing these bundles of energy in cells or batteries for harvesting and transportation back to earth. This should further push back the 'heat limit' of Solar Energy Production.
ALTERNATIVE TO SOLAR BATTERIES/SOLAR ENERGY HARVESTING DRONES
Solar Energy could be harvested by Satellites placed just outside the Earth's Atmosphere. The hurdle to cross in this solution is to transmit that Energy. It would be optimal to invent a means of Wireless Transmission of Solar Energy. If such a means exists, then instead of periodically going to the Satellites to retrieve harvested Cells, Storage Drones could head up to the satellites to receive Solar Energy via Wireless Transmission. The Satellites will of course always maintain power through Solar means. The drones could then receive the harvested Solar Energy and transmit it to earth.
SOLAR ENERGY SATELLITES (HARVEST AND RECEPTION)
If however, the means is invented to transmit Solar Energy wirelessly via Harvesting Satellites in Space, then Receptor Satellite Receivers could be erected on Earth to receive Solar Energy from Satellites in space and then transfer this Energy to Storage sites or Distribution Facilities.
