Chapter 19: Chapter 19

Aurora managed to ride her bike inside the woods, to a secure corner and then hide her bike with leaves that fell off from nearby trees. Lots of it. After successfully doing that, she untied the hoodie she had tied down her sleek bumpers and wore it. Her main purpose for doing that was so it could cover her hair and conceal some parts of her facials, so no one would notice her.

'I will go in really quick, if I don't find him. I'll double back and come back here. And just like that… No one notice me." she maps her objective out loud as she follows a straight path into the woods. She pulls the branches aside as she notices a man standing not far but ahead of her.

"Could it be him?" she wondered. she could sense him around here.

She made to pull the branches out of her sight when her leg stepped on a broken branch. Bringing attention to her.

A guy comes from behind pointing his pistol on the back of aurora head "move it" he tells her and she do just as told with her hands raised up high.

She came out and was now in the center of a clear gathering with just the man she had thought was the person she was looking for, in front of her straight daggers at her.

"Take down that hoodie!" He commands. Okay, definitely… He wasn't the one.

Aurora counters to herself as she started to do just as she was told.

"Please spare me, I'm looking for my brother I got lost doing so." she tried to sound like a lost teenager with hopes they'd let her go.

"Yeah right. You don't have to call your boyfriend a brother…" the man behind her teased

And Aurora frowned, she didn't understand what he meant by that.

"Or could she… Be looking for the wolf?" One of them suddenly spoke.

Aurora tensed.

'No No! Do not think that' She wished she could tell them but they had already started looking at her weirdly.

"But she's human," The other man said stating the obvious.

"Yh, they fucking shapeshift and act like us. We found that out with the wolf that escape today," the one behind her snickered. Aurora swallowed her saliva.

Aurora's ears perked up at a shuffle from the tree close by. She was sure it wasn't a bird, maybe a monkey but it was certainly not a bird. Her curiosity got the best of her and she looked up.

Just to find the man from earlier (the wolf she had jammed in her room) clinging on to one of the branch.

"Ahhhh!" she screams in fright.

Making both men also jump clearly frightened.

"What is it?"

" I thought I saw a wolf" Aurora answered truthfully but did not dare look back up at the tree she had seen it.

Two more men suddenly came out from the east side and they made their way towards them.

"What do we have here?" one of them asked when they got close.

"We think she's a wolf sir"

"I'm not!" Aurora defended

"Well then there's only one way to find out" The man grabbed a weapon from the other torso and slowly advanced towards Aurora.

"I don't think you want to do that," Aurora mutters before slowly removing her hoodie.

Leaving them to gasp in shock.

As they walk deeper into the woods, following the arrow trails, Theo suddenly felt an Excruciating pain through the mind link. Making him stop abruptly. Sebastian and Gael must have felt it too because they both look sober.

"He has been shot with one of their weapons. We need to get to him quickly so we can undo it."

Gael informs but no one moved.

Theo stood dumbstruck as he allow himself feel the pain his only brother was going through. He stumbles upon a tree nearby and hold on to it for support.

"Where are you Daniel, talk to me." Theo tried to reach him even though he knew he wouldn't be able to speak. He had expirenced the same thing some weeks back, so he knew what he was feeling. And he comprehended Daniel wouldn't be able to speak right now. The only way to get to him faster, was if they knew the location he was taken to, or… If he was dead.

Theo shook his head as if doing so would wipe the thought away.

"Be positive" he tries to encourage himself before wiping the tear that was about to come down on his cheek.

"Let's move it" Theo mumbles to his followers as he started to lead the way again. His eyes were bloodshot from the unshed tears that were threatening to fall. He looked like a man who had wept for eternity.

He could feel Daniel and he could tell that Daniel was in great pain. That was his only surviving brother after their parents were attacked. He didn't want to lose him. The thought of the kind of torture they were making him go through at the moment, felt like someone who dies and wake up in one minute thrown in a river with caged , and going through the pain of drowning,dying and waking up again to continue the loop.

Daniel won't be able to continue healing himself when he loses much blood. It happens with their kind. Theo was hoping he could get to him before that happens, so he could make could make sure he feeds whoever that had been assigned to torture his brother, their blood.

Daniel had been able to mind linked them few hours back, and Theo knew before he could do that, he must have escaped and was now in the woods. He didn't seem to be in any much pain but the fear was vivid in his tone when he spoke. He told them he wasn't going to come straight to their home so they wouldn't find out where they stay so they would proceed with more attacks. He had informed them that he would hide somewhere till he was sure they were no longer tolling him.

Theo had felt relieved at that information. Not long did he convinced his beta and Gamma to retreat to a safe place soon, that they all felt Daniels pain.

"We need to map out a plan, or we would be walking right into an unforeseen trap."

Gael cooed from behind. Theo only grunted as a response but did not stop walking.

They came to an open ground with just four trees positioned on each side and they stopped.

Not far from where they stood were four men, lying on the ground lifeless. With their own weapons buried deep on their forehead.

Theo moves forward as he aims to inspect them.

The death was easy a single stroke on the head, leaving them lifeless. There were no bites or scratch so he could tell these weren't from wolves or any wide animal, it was from a human.

"Stay alert" he informs them when he was done carrying the inspection.

Gael and Sebastian simply nodded. " I can scent his blood, he is close." Theo says grimly.

"We should cover our scent and hide our figures since we are close, who knows there might be more of them ahead." Gael suggested and Theo nodded In agreement.

That was Gael's special skill.

He could make an invisible ball that could blend in with the surroundings.
