Chapter 7: Chapter Six

"Hey- I think he's awake!" Sebastian calls for the others in alarm. Theo had been strapped on a bed for the past two hours and he had just regained consciousness.

"Get more blood or else he'd pass out soon, he needs it to regain energy" Gael the Beta instructs and footsteps scuttles away.

"Don't run the blood bank dry- we'll need in the future," Theo managed to say, he tries to sit up but the sharp pain he felt made him grunts instead. Gael was on his side already, pushing his shoulders back gently on the bed so he'd get some rest.

"Without you, there is no future for us" Gael simply states. He was being sentimental but it was true. If an Alpha dies without his Wolf picking their next leader… The pack would turn rouge and powerless. But Theo had a feeling that Gael wasn't referring to that. Theo had lead the pack with so much in so many victory's, and wouldn't hesitate to fight back even if it was an Omega from his pack that got hurt.

He groans in pain.

The beeping sounds from a system nearby rhymed with Theo's heartbeat. He was trying to calm himself and center his thoughts anywhere but the pain. It was driving him nuts!

Theo turns his face and focused on another angle that was when he realized something. He wasn't in his room and neither was he in the hospital.

He looked around to find frames and computers at a different flank in the room.

Theo groaned loudly when he hears the system being used by a user. He hated the clicking sounds.

"Why didn't you take me to your house, Sebastian?" Theo laments

"Didn't feel like having your blood on my bed,Theo"

Theo made to laugh but he ended up coughing badly instead.

Sebastian had a been a hard guy to everyone he came across including his Alpha. It was like being that way, was his way of showing his love, and everyone that cared for him understood his personality.

Sebastian goes to rub his shoulder gently,

"I've lost someone that cared about me and knew me deeply, His bloods are still had to watch off from my hands, You- you're my Alpha and I don't think I'll ever be able to…" Theo looks at him expectantly

"I don't think I'll ever be able to wash my Bedspread clean… your blood would be too thick to rinse off,"

Theo face burned from holding his laughter, he lets out a chuckle some seconds later.

"I love you too, Sebastian"

Theo enunciated and ruffles With Sebastain who tried to get away from his grip.

"But for real though," Theo started after Sebastian managed to leave his grip. He turns away from Sebastian and was now looking at Gael who had his thinking cap on and was smudging his invisible beards.

"Stop taking from the blood bank,"

"No," Gael and Sebastian answered at once

"I don't mind actually dragging a human here to suck the blood dry of her, Theo you need human blood to stay sane, since I can't look for the portion used on you, I can't liquidify it. So please…Let me worry about that. Before I start fretting about how to get your blood off my favorite duvet.

While, Sebastain was the hot headed Gael was the opposite. They had all gone to the same high school and had willfully met after college.

Gael and Sebastian had gone to the same college, but Sebastian dropped out when he lost his father. He dropped out to focus on his special talent that could earn him something. Singing and his guitar.

Theo on the other hand, pursued Art. It was the only thing he was good at so well.

In all this, their identity remained hidden.

Theo gets tired of them hushing him up, he pulls out something from his jean pocket and threw it on the floor, catching both Gael and Sebastian attention.

Gael moves over to pick it up and takes a careful look at it, it was the arrow head that had struck Theo. He kept it to defend himself, but now he feels it might actually be helpful.

"It struck me when I opened the casket,"

"Casket?" Gael questioned as he observe the arrow

"Cemetry I had gone to check out something, and there's news."Theo informs

"Save it till you've recovered fully,"

Sebastian speaks and Theo nodded in return.

"Guys," Gael calls and both men gaze turn to him.

Gael moves closer to them enough to show them what he just discovered.

"Look at this," he points at the arrow and he slowly opened it. A small black item wrapped togethr, like a squeezed leaf, came into view.

"So this is what they use in demonizing wolves?" Sebastain mutters, itching close to take a much closer look.

"Don't," Theo rebukes "If you snif it, it could send you unconscious"

"I have an idea," Gael suddenly speaks "but I need a lighter,"

Sebastian pulls one from his pocket and handed it over to him

Gael looks at him weird "you take that with you everywhere?"

"Mans got to smoke, yunno" Sebastain says in a British accent

"Indeed," Theo mumbles his response but it was loud enough for both of them to hear. His eyes were closing off again. The portion was still taking it's effect on him"

"Fast, do what you've got to do"

"I'm on it… But it's going to hurt"

"Do it!" Theo hiss in pain

Gael rushes to his side and place the item on the drawer, he brings the lighter closer and lights it. It didn't pick up at first, but he kept attempting it till it started burning.

"I need something to pick it up,"

"Move" Sebastain simply says and picks up the burning crucnched item with his bare hand

"Where do you want it?"

Gael rushes to Theo side and straightened the hand that had been struck with the arrow.

"Right here"

Sebastian doesn't hesitate to put it in. A loud shril cry burst from Theo lips. He made no effort in trying to take the pain in. The room shook on his voice… Few items, that were valuable to Gael fell on the ground. Sebastian doesn't relent, he holds down Theo hands as he watched the pressed item burns through his vein and other parts that has been in infected.

A sudden pull sends Gael and Sebastian crashing at the wall across.

Theo's wolf was up, nobody could stand his wolf in human form.

Even in their wolf form it was formidable, except his third and second in command.

Whenever his wolf is in control it was either because a nerve had been struck or when he is using his Alpha command. But this time it wasn't it.

He had felt all that caressing from within, her touch. And now that he had gained back his strength, he wants her. All of her.

He turns to look at the guys, that were now on their feet and alarmed. Goosebumps tinged on their skin… As their Alpha stared back at them. It was disrespect to look at the Alpha but they did.

"MATE" His wolf growls before collapsing back on the bed.

Chapter 8: Chapter seven

The silence in the room was ricocheting. No one made a move to say anything and it brought tension to the room. Well, technically the tension only seems to be wearing the maid off.

She was afraid, The priest had listened to their conversation. He had excused himself so serene could bring Aurora from the bath. Aurora was clean already on some parts, so instead of scrubbing the rest of her body, she simply rinsed and got Aurora dressed before bringing her to meet the exorcist, who sat comfortably on Aurora's Bed.

Serene simply rode the wheelchair to where he sat and pulled it at the corner. She was smart enough to not allow close proximity. The priest sat at arm's length away.

"You haven't answered my question from earlier" He noted nonchalantly making Serene stumble on her words and steps.

Serene thinks back to what she had said before he came in. She didn't know how much he heard but she remembered what her last words were before he came in.

"Well, she…" Serene started not sure of what to tell the chief "I placed her on the toilet for five minutes before putting her in the tub, she didn't poop. Just for her to do just that in the tub. What you heard, Chief, was me lamenting my distress.

He just nods his face wasn't giving any expression that showed he doubted what she had just said and neither was it giving the expression he believed her. His face was void of one.

"I'll send for you," he simply says and Serene took that as her queue to exit the room.

Immediately Serene left, he stood up and advanced towards his niece. He pulled a chair from the corner, taking a seat in front of her.

This is not good' Aurora thinks to herself. She didn't know how long her uncle would talk for, but she knew he might just find out about her at the slightest movement she makes. Although she had mastered the art of being still and not blinking, but under his gaze- it was nothing.

"Your brother- your brother is dead." He mumbles as he stares down at her. He paused trying to catch any glint of emotion from the news he had relaid.

"I knew he was everything to you after your parents, he died in the hands of those bastards. The wolves." he elaborated further

"I knew how passionate he was about this work, to put back orderliness and… Protect you,"

He wasn't passionate, he had never been passionate about this. He hated it. If anything she knew her uncle forced him into this. He told him the only reason he existed was to conquer wolves, when the only thing her brother wanted to do was to party. He was a good DJ.

Her parents had just informed The chief (her uncle ) about their daughter's powers. They thought she was powerless, till they got a call at school. She levitated. It had come as a shock to everyone since she never practiced but she harnessed the skill so well.

Her parents were taking her to meet the chief, to train and keep her even when she pleaded with them she just wanted to go to school, and hang out with friends. They simply told her- the only life that awaits her was hunting down wolves and demons.

Aurora had grown angry and a surge of energy burst from within her- the next thing she knew was the car was upside down and she was the only one not bleeding profusely.

That sent her into shock and she became paralyzed, but it had worn off after six months under the care of her uncle everyone knows as Chief.

But her brother, he was the first person to know and he asked her to keep pretending. He knew if she was back on her feet, they would subject her to training immediately. He didn't want that lifestyle for her. He would sneak out with her and they would both hit the club, most times he would teach her how to use the sword, and ride a bike.

Serene was right to note that since her brother was gone, she didn't have any more reason to be out there. But she was wrong.

Serene didn't feel what she had felt that night just by touching him. It felt like a scale had been wash from her eyes. She felt stuff she had never felt before when he spoke, held her and taunted her.

The Chief index finger contact on her skin brought her back to listen to what he had been saying. She had only realized she had started shedding tears after he wiped her tears away.

"I know you love your brother, as much as I loved him. That's why I'll be doing this for you, Rora."

Huh? Aurora thinks to herself

What did he have up his sleeves

"I need to get you back on your feet as soon as possible, so you would take over from where your brother stopped," he declares, his voice ominous

Aurora fights the urge to scoff at him. And here she thought he was here to make her feel better after all that transpired.

"I've come up with two procedures," he proclaims and then moves away from Aurora and heads towards another couch that was adjacent from where she sat.

"One is easy and the other- well the other is difficult…" he paused as if trying to articulate his next words "would be difficult for you," he corrected himself.

"I'll start with the much easier task, a shaman will be coming here in a few weeks. I believe he can make you whole again. but if he doesn't, which I doubt, I'm afraid I'll start to rule out other ways. I'm desperate, Rora"

No kidding' Aurora scoffed mentally

"The wolves are taking more of us, when he barely have any effect on them. I need to strategize and I need you for that," he turns to look at Aurora

"Your brother will forever be known as a hero," and with that he moves to the doorway and steps out, shutting the door gently as he goes.

Just like that?' Aurora mumbles

What if he never wanted to be known as a hero, what if he just wanted to have fun and live his best life doing what he wills?

He lets out the scoff she had been holding.

The door opened and Serene stepped in alarmed.

She shuts the door behind her before coming to kneel in front of Aurora, startling her.

"What did you do to me?"

"What?" Aurora questions confused

"My wound," serene touched the back of her head "it's gone,"
