Chapter 17: A Choice

"What exactly am I thinking," muttered Azel while shaking his head. "Even if I wanted to, the decision still rests with Elena."

Azel thinks that Elena is not a threat. Even if she has a good talent, she still needs a lot of high-grade herbs to cultivate. Breaking through the mid-level boundary to the upper level isn't that easy.

If Elena decided not to follow him, Azel would send her away from his territory. Having no connection, it was useless to harbor someone that attracted enemies to it.

If Elena decided to go with him, Azel would be happy. However, he also has to ensure the woman's loyalty by making a soul contract. Like Camellia who couldn't possibly betray him.

After contemplating many things, Azel decided to sleep. Tomorrow he and his party would return to Black Lily City. It would be nice if he had enough rest as he had to set up the tent the following night.

The next morning, Azel looks out the window from his room. The knights were busy loading their luggage onto the carriage and packing their equipment. The corners of the young man's lips curved upwards when he saw them.

Azel remembers the events of the previous day. The ten knights came to where he was fighting Elena. When the people arrived, they looked panicked because they didn't know what to do. As young and talented knights, the ten level 2 demons were aware, there was nothing they could do under absolute strength.

Camellia didn't say a word then, she only looked coldly at the knights. It makes them feel ashamed and useless. Seeing that they now had the determination to become stronger, Azel felt happy.

"This trip was not in vain," Azel muttered.

After watching the knights pack up, he headed for Elena's room. After knocking on the door, he immediately walked into the room.

"Sleep well?" asked Azel.

"You can see that clearly, Prince Azazel."

Elena rolled her eyes with a cold expression. Her expression saying 'how can I sleep well while being handcuffed like this?', making Azel shake his head lightly.

Azel reached into his pocket and took out two keys. He approached Elena and then opened the handcuffs on his feet and hands. The woman sat up and rubbed her wrists.

"Is there a reason for removing these cuffs, Prince Azazel?"

"Yes." Azel nodded. "I've confirmed that you don't have any hatred towards me. So I'm giving you two choices."

"Choice?" asked Elena while looking right in Azel's eyes.

"That's right. First, you can follow me on a note… I need your loyalty. Second, you may go, but you must leave my territory. Pretend that we never met."

"And if I'm still in your territory?"

Azel stared with an indifferent expression before replying, "That would be troublesome. if that's the case, I have to kill you."

"So cruel?" muttered Elena.

"You are in my territory. If Count Blackscar finds out, he will bring trouble. I don't care about trivial nobles, but if Marquis Fergus intervenes… there will be war and massacre."

"...."

Seeing Elena went silent, Azel continued, "Do you think I should sacrifice my territory and people... for someone I don't know?"

Hearing Azel's question, a lost expression appeared on Elena's face. she recalled what the young man had said earlier. As long as that woman chooses to leave, they are strangers. Feeling the uncertainty, Elena bit her lower lip with a doubtful expression.

Elena worked up the courage to look back at Azel. The woman then asked, "If I were yours, would you avenge my mother and sister?"

"Count Blackscar... or Marquis Fergus?"

"Count Blackscar," Elena said firmly. "The entire Blackscar family."

Seeing the beautiful woman who ventured into his trap hole, Azel breathed a sigh of relief from within. The young man actually also started preparing a plan to deal with Marquis Fergus. It's just that, as a trader, getting bigger profits is certainly better.

Count Blackscar is not a big deal to him!

Azel smiled gently before saying "I agree."

Seeing that Azel agreed, Elena immediately got off the bed and knelt in front of the young man.

"Elena bows to the master. This servant promises to obey the master's orders with all her body."

"Only with the body?" asked Azel with a smile on his face.

Elena who was kneeling in front of Azel looked up and met his eyes.

"Perhaps after this servant binds the soul contract, you can do anything to me, Master. However... this soul still belongs to me."

"You heard of the soul contract?" Azel tilted his head.

"I heard it from Camellia last night, sir."

"Aren't you afraid that I'll break my promise after you become completely 'mine'?"

"I dare to gamble, meaning I dare to take risks. I also believe... you will not break your promise, sir!"

Azel stared at the beautiful Dark Elf in front of him with an interesting expression. With a playful smile, he asked, "Then how to get everything... be it your body or your soul, Elena?"

"After you wiped out the Blackscar Family…" Elena said in a trembling voice. It seemed that the woman remembered the bad incident she had experienced. "After you eradicate the Blackscar Family, my whole body and soul belongs to you, Master. Even if there is a next life, I am still yours."

'Why is it that when I see this cold woman being obedient, I become happy? Is there something wrong with my head?'

Azel shook his head lightly. The youth stretched out his right hand and stroked Elena's cheek gently. He then said, "Then I must fulfill my promise soon."

Feeling a touch on her cheek, Elena's heart beat a little faster. she looked at the handsome young man in front of her while muttering, "Master…"

Cough! Cough!

Hearing a fake coughing sound, Azel immediately withdrew his hand. Meanwhile, Elena immediately got up and stood quietly as if nothing had happened. The bedroom door opened immediately, Camellia's figure entered the room.

"You look like you're having fun... Master?"

Seeing Camellia's cold gaze, Azel smiled awkwardly. As if remembering something, he asked back, "Is everything ready, Camellia?"

"Yes sir!" Camellia replied, but it was clear the sullen expression was still on her face.

"Good! Elena, you go wash up and get changed. We'll have breakfast together before leaving."

"Yes sir!" Elena bowed politely before picking up her clothes and leaving the room.

Azel then looked at Camellia who was still looking at him with a cold expression.

"What's wrong, Camellia?"

"It's okay, Sir." Camellia replied politely.

'Lie! That's a lie! Before lying, you have to look at your own expression!'

Azel shouted in his heart. The young man felt that Camellia's emotions had started to become unstable ever since they moved to his new territory. Since meeting Isabella or Elena, the girl had become even more grumpy.

Azel even felt that Camellia was looking at him as if he was looking at a naughty boy. More precisely, a naughty boy who forgets his old toys after getting new ones. The corners of his lips twitched but didn't know what to say. he could only groan inwardly.

'Dammit! This is slander! I don't treat you like toys! I'm just happy to have new loyal followers, nothing more!'

'It's not that my pick of followers has to be a woman, I just love talent! If there are problems because of the meeting, blame it on fate!'
