Chapter 23: Good Man.

Alisha, Maria, Ashley, and Julia sat in the living room, surrounded by an air of grief and sadness. The room was quiet, as no one dared to say anything. Maria spoke up in a slow voice, "Alisha, it's been three days, and you still haven't eaten anything."

Alisha remained silent, staring blankly ahead. Julia emerged from the kitchen, carrying three plates of steaming hot pasta. She placed them on the table in front of Ashley, Maria, and Alisha. Ashley, distracted by her phone, looked up briefly and said, "I'm okay." Alisha stood up and muttered, "Same," before retreating to her room.

Maria looked concerned, "This way, she will get sick." Ashley groaned in agreement, "Well, you can't blame her, can you?" Julia mixed her pasta with a spoon and tied her hair into a bun with a pencil. She took a precised bite and said, "We should give her some space to mourn."
