Chapter 67: The Oddness

"Mother," he whispered. "How could she be so foolish to choose a man who wouldn't want to be with her? Every day she suffered to the point she took her own life yet she never once ran away from him when the opportunity arises." 

The butler went quiet, "Young master, you know why Madam stayed here. It was all for you." 

"Exactly! She could have just—" realizing how he had shouted at the old man who had taken care of him all this time, Dexter sighed and cooled his head down. He murmured in regret, "I'm sorry, Butler Jean." 

"No, young master, you don't have to apologize to he humble me," the older man responded with sadness in his eyes. "I understand, I really do understand what you feel but you have to stay strong. There is no one else in this world who could replace you as the Blue Rose's heir. This is what the madam wanted, she wanted to see you in your rightful place, not the son of an unknown woman."
