Chapter 20: The queen of Spiders Fight
Creeeeeak!!
The huge doors to the boss room opened
The room was huge. group could barely see the end of it
Anna quickly used a spell and conjured up a big light bull that shone above the group
The webs were wowen everywhere, leading from the huge door to the very depth of Darkness
They had a slick, oily quality, making it very difficult to stand under foot
The webs on either side had many white husks, that some weird yellow sap was oozing out from them, and a soft yellow light was shimmering between them
Many webs were covering the ground and sides rustling with the motion of unseen creatures hiding in them
The rooms air was heavy and damp
Ellis and a few others almost threw up from the horrible stench in the room
Everyone had their weapons raised, on guard, slowly walking deeper into the darkness, hoping to find the boss
Suddenly, the sound of a very alluring woman giggled in the darkness
After hearing this, everyone caught a flash of crimson silk and swaying hips before the darkness obscured their sight of her.
Kyle, Sophia, Tyler, along with Anna and Ellis, feeling something wasn't right stopped in their tracks, their fellow team members pushed past them like vacant-eyed cattle en route to the slaughterman's blade.
'What is wrong with them?.'(Tyler)
Suddenly the rings on their fingers shone and all of them got teleported out of the tower
'What!?'
A dangerous feeling swept past Tyler. He turned around only to find himself face to face with her.
He instinctively wanted to push her away and flee this awful place, but the intoxication of this dark beauty overpowered any thought of rejection. His sense of revulsion passed so swiftly that he wasn't even sure he'd truly felt it.
"Tyler~." she said, and the sound of his name on her lips was divine, sending a surge of pleasure down his spine. Her beauty transfixed him, and he savored every detail of her perfect form. Her features were angular and sharp, framed by lustrous crimson hair, like that of a highborn girl.
Full lips with eyes of dark light drew him deeper into her web, and a see-through cloak covered her shoulders and her upper body.

"Is something the matter, Tyler?"
She said, her tone soothing the fear inside Tyler
"I need you to be at peace when we are so close."
Tyler started walking off towards the Darkness.
He dropped to the ground, trying to wrap his hands around her legs,her limbs slender and alabaster white, smooth and cold to the touch.
"Anything for you..."
Suddenly, he heard a very loud spell from behind and
Booom!!
A fire ball exploded right above him, making him snap back into reality
He quickly realized his ugly situation and immediately used a spell and leaped back to Kyle and others' side that had thier eyes glued in front
gliding over the path as though her feet barely touched it. His robes were undulant with motion, and
A suffocating fear surrounded this beautiful figure
"Oh... you actually saw through? Interesting"
She giggled, and then suddenly,Her shoulders squirmed as two pairs of slender, chitinous spider limbs unfolded from the flesh of her back; long, dark,her razored talons glinting in the dark.
They lifted her up as a grotesque, bloated mass shifted in the darkness behind her. Colossal spider legs heaved its corrupt body forward, the light from Anna's s spell reflecting on her many eyes.
The vast spider's bulk was enormous and furred, the looming figure of this monstrous spider
slowly came into view, above the group, her height far surpassed any man or woman.
by the jointed limbs at her back. She was no longer beautiful, no longer even human. Her features were alight with a ferocious hunger that could never be sated.
"Now that you ve seen me, you have to die~."
Tyler swallowed a mouthful of saliva. This was a peak D+ rank monster, nearly becoming a C rank Lord class one.
He could barely control himself from not surrendering. He weakly said, "Why?"
She giggled again and said
"So that I can live~."
With that suddenly, the entire room shoock violently. Many pale, grub-like husks hanging everywhere suddenly started swaying with frantic, trapped motion.
In the translucent surface of the husks that lost their lights, many Spiders appeared they poured out like a torrent some of em as big as bears and some small like in the size of dogs
Ellis , who barely could hang on and not fall, said
"What is this place!? Wasn't it supposed to be a boss room!."
Anna answered
"It doesn't change a thing we need to defeat her before she summons more of those things!"
The huge spider hearing this Said with a hint of joy and admiration
"This is one of the many Spider gods temples, the Lolth, my goddess,
Now die!.
Spiders started swarming towards the group from all sides
Kyle imbued his sword with fire using his blessing and cut down many spiders in front
Then Tyler barely overcoming the fear in him used a wide area spell, making a torrent of fire run through the ground, burning many spiders and webs,but suddenly
"How dare you kill my children!!"
The huge spider got enraged and dashed towards him
Sophia used her skill
*quick Sand*
Making the spider stumble for a moment before
Ellis, using her skill, gathered a huge amount of electricity in her fist and punched towards the huge spider
As expected, it got blocked, but the current went through her entire body momentarily, stunning her
Kyle took advantage of this and rushed to cut down her head, but...
Clank!!
His sword got blocked by a huge spider leg
"Insignificant tricks!"
Before Kyle could react in mid-air, he got hit by another of her legs
Doof!
Hitting the wall and dropping down
Cough! Cough!
"Kyle! Are you alright!?"
Tyler shouted. He got intimidated by the spider and couldn't react in time so Ellis and Kyle covered for him
"Y.. yeah I'm good!."
Kyle barely stood up while wiping a drop of blood from the corner of his lips
'Dammit, I ve got a broken Rib!'
Suddenly, the many Spiders everywhere got faster they rushed towards the mages in the back
'What a high speed! This is too dangerous for Anna!' (Sophia)
A purple black like energy covered the huge spider's hand
'D..demonic energy!'
"Everyone watchout!!"
Kyle shouted, but it was too late
*demonic webs*
Before anyone could react, the purplish black webs rushed out from the spider hands binding Anna and Tyler
"What?!"Anna
"That bastard!!"Tyler
The webs were imbued with demonic energy. If they tried to cast a spell, their mana would get tainted by it
Thus obstructing Anna from casting any spells along with Tyler
Although the webs weren't that fast, because of the group's fatigue from fighting, for so long, none of them had enough strength to escape from it. Thus, getting caught
The many big and small Spiders in anticipation of finaly feeding on something rushed forward, ignoring Sophia's attacks and the rest, kyle did his best reaching them to cut down the webs, but he couldn't.
Left with no choice, Anna and Tyler surrendered. A white light enveloped them before they vanished
*Outside the tower*
Doof! Doof!!
"Goddammit!!! Fuck!! Fuck!!!."
Tyler was punching the ground with immense anger while cursing
While Anna was dropped down with a dazed expression, in shock that how she got defeated this easily?
*The boss room*
Huff* huff* huff*
Ellis was running out of stamina barely holding on while Kyle and Sophia were taking down Spiders one by one
On ocations Kyle would use his fire blessing and burn many of them in instances and Sophia would crush them using her two handed sword and her powerful earth powers.
both of them were visible suffering from lack of mana while thier fatigue made thier moves becoming sluggish
'This..we cant go on like this, I have to do something!'
Ellis steeling her self said to kyle
"You better treat me into a lavish meal after this!"
Kyle, hearing this, got confused for a moment before getting shocked by what he saw
*Living battery*
Was Ellis's high ranking skill
Huge amounts of electricity started gathering in Ellis's body, her skin slowly turning blue along with her eyes.
The ground beneath her was vibrating with electricity, and any spider that came near her turned to ash
Spider queen sensing something dangerous quickly cast multiple demonic spells
Many spears made from webs imbued with demonic energy appeared floating on mid air, she even raised her both hands to cast the webs from earlier
"This is where it ends,now pay with your lives for killing my children!!"
She screamed frantically
Ellis smiled brightly and said
"Try taking this you monstrous bastard!"
Whoosh!
She suddenly disappeared before re appearing right in front of spider queen
Doof!!
Buzz!! Buzz!!
She punched the huge spider, the huge electricity current made the spider's body shake uncontrollably and a disgusting burning smell filling the air
Ellis's body slowly lost the blue color before she got enveloped by a white light and teleported outside
Sophia taking this opportunity along with Kyle used the last drop of thier mana
Suddenly Sophia's Vains started bulging to a visible degree
*Empower*
She used her skill and launched at the huge spider using her technique
(Runic blade), her blade shined with strange symbols
Doof!! Doof! Doof!!
Her sword mercilessly shattered the exoskeleton of the huge spider and exposed her neck and other body parts
Whoosh!!
Kyle brandished his sword with the last bit of strength he had using all his mana
"Abiding by the ancient promise of your king,lend me your power fire elemental!"
His sword Suddenly got so hot that it glowed in an eerie Red before Kyle used one of his techniques
(Mortal steel)
With a quick movement he appeared beside Sophia where thier swords simultaneously struck the
queen spider's neck
Slash!!....Tud!
"h..how..?"
The head of the Queen flew and hit the ground, dying the floor with a slimy green blood
Kyle and Sophia dropped on their back while all the spider's surrounding them stopped in their places seemingly dead
"We did it!"(kyle)
Kyle smiled brightly beside Sophia before both of them quickly got enveloped,in a blinding white light, and got teleported out.
*Outside the tower*
Whooo!!
They did it!!
They broke through!!
Kyaaaa!!!
The mass of students outside went wild with cheers for the group, some were shocked and some were happy this without a doubt was a historical moment for the academy and they witnessed it
Since 40 years ago nobody has ever managed to break through the 20th floor in the academy's test since legendary
William Lancester but now they witnessed this again the crowd was filled with admiration for them.

Anna and Tyler rushed towards the healers tent beside the tower to check on the rest of the group
The tent was filled with students from the last groups and also the ones that got affected by charm from the queen spider and got teleported at the beginning of the raid
"Were here!"
Olivia was waving loudly for them, beside her Kyle,Ellis and Sophia were lying while healers were constantly using their holy powers to replenish their mana and heal their
Anna walked to ellis and held her hand gently. She was deeply sad because she couldn't help much in the raid
"Ellis, you're alright?
"Of course, who do you think I am!"
Ellis also felt this and confidently smiled while saying this
Tyler walked beside Kyle and bowed his head slightly while he said
"I'm really sorry for my blunder. If it wasn't because of me, you wouldn't have bin hurt like this,please forgive me."
Beside Kyle, who had his eyes bulging out from this situation, Sophia was also flabbergasted. The second prince of this empire just bowed his head to a commoner
Kyle, who was flustered, quickly said while smiling awkwardly
"P..please raise your head it was my own carelessness too!
"Pfttt!! Omg! This is so funny! I swear you guys are the best!"
Olivia loughed out loud to ease this awkward atmosphere

The huge billboard displayed the next 4 teams, and the one getting the most attention was Aamon's team

Aamon was also silently watching all of this after he saw the names on the billboard. He noticed nothing has changed from the original story
He would climb the tower without any surviving teams
Aamon, satisfied with this outcome, put on his black gloves slowly and touched the black dragon necklace hanging on his neck, his face turning serious
'Everything is in place, I won't lose to you guys even if i have to clear this tower on my own, I promise.'
