The sun's ascent went unnoticed as time slipped away like sand through his fingers. Only when his stomach growled in protest did he finally tear himself away from the game.
Noon arrived, and Ding Wen ventured out into the world, where the warm embrace of the sun welcomed him. He met with a group of friends, three or five in number, the laughter and camaraderie infectious. Time passed swiftly as they chatted and reminisced.
