Meghan, Ana, and Maeve held each other's hands tightly as they watched the final moments of the match, their hearts racing with anticipation. When Khai scored the winning goal, they all erupted in joyful screams, joining the rest of the cheering crowd. The sound was deafening, a mixture of cheering and the blaring horns of the marching band playing the school song. The girls were caught up in the excitement, jumping up and down and hugging each other.
But as the crowd rushed onto the field, the girls were quickly separated. Ana found herself surrounded by towering figures, her view obstructed by the confetti raining down on her. She felt disoriented and overwhelmed by the throngs of people, their cheers echoing in her ears. Attempting to push her way through, her eyes searched for a familiar face.
A strong hand seized her wrist, and Ana was suddenly pulled into a crushing embrace. Khai lifted her off the ground, and she wrapped her arms and legs around him, her heart pounding as she gazed into his dark, chocolate-brown eyes. He lowered his head, kissing her deeply and drowning her in fervent passion. Ana pulled him closer, pressing her body against his, as she tightened her grip on his shoulders.
She felt something hard against her, pressing between her shorts, and her body reacted on its own when she rubbed her hips against his. A low growl escaped Khai and he deepened the kiss.
The fiery intensity of their moment was disrupted as Austin, George, and Meghan jumped onto them in the crowd. Khai broke the kiss, and Ana quickly untangled herself from his embrace, both of them panting and momentarily disoriented from the heat that had ignited between them. Ana's face was suffused with embarrassment as everyone celebrated around them, praying that no one had noticed the passion that had flared between her and Khai.
Just as Ana was about to turn to face Khai, Meghan took her by the arm and led her away from the crowd. "Come with me," Meghan said excitedly. "Your presents have arrived!" Ana allowed herself to be pulled along, grateful for the excuse to step away and clear her mind.
As she walked, Ana couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and confusion over what had just happened between her and Khai. She couldn't decide if she was more upset about getting carried away in front of so many people or that they were interrupted at such a intense moment.
Lost in thought, Ana blindly followed Meghan, not paying attention to their surroundings. But when they arrived at Meghan's room, Ana's attention snapped back to the present.
"You're going to love what I got for you!" Meghan said with a big grin, holding up a suitcase and a small box placed on top. "I also packed your bag for the beach trip. I've included everything you'll need: toiletries, makeup, clothes, sunscreen. You won't have to worry about anything!"
Ana stared at the gifts in disbelief, filled with gratitude for her friend. Meghan had taken on the role of a sister, mother, and best friend all in one, making sure Ana never felt the absence of her family. "Oh Meg! You're my personal angel!" Ana exclaimed, pulling Meghan into a wholesome hug.
"I'm just so excited for you, Ana. You deserve all the happiness in the world. You've always been there for George and me, and this is the least I could do." Meghan's voice was thick with emotion as she spoke, and the excitement in the air had turned into a sweet, heartfelt moment between the two best friends.
Clearing her throat, Meghan pulled away from the hug and placed the gifts into Ana's hands. "Take these to your room, and open the box when you're alone," she said.
Ana nodded, smiling as she carried the suitcase and box to her room. Meghan was going out with Fiona and Tammy for gelato, while Ana had to meet Khai for training in a few minutes.
She dialed Khai's number, intending to ask if they were still training today. Considering the soccer match, she realized he might be tired and want to rest.
Before she could even say hello, she heard Khai's deep voice. "Ana, where are you?"
"I'm in my room. Do you still want to train today? You might be tired from the match." She asked.
"I'm not tired. I'll be there to pick you up in ten minutes, okay?"
"Okay, I'll be ready." Ana smiled to herself, marveling at Khai's boundless energy. Unlike George, who always wanted to rest after intense physical activity, the harder Khai worked, the more energy he seemed to have.
Washing her face and braiding her hair, she spritzed some perfume on her skin and quickly freshened up for training. She wanted to practice some mana cultivation on her trip, so she opened the zipper at the top of her suitcase and slipped her lilac mana stone into it. She was about to step out of the closet when her attention was drawn to the gift from Meghan. Deciding to open it while she was alone in her room, her hand reached for the box and she made her way back to the bed.
As she tore off the wrapping paper and opened the plain brown box, Ana's eyes widened in surprise at its contents. She almost dropped the box on the floor as she tried to register what she saw. A long, thick maroon sex toy, a charger, and a small glass bottle of lubricant, were arranged neatly in the box. A tiny booklet with instructions was stuck to the bottom of the lid.
Shocked by Meghan's boldness, Ana felt a flush spread from her toes and up to her cheeks. Had her friend really expected her to use the sex toy to satisfy her needs? While Ana recognized that this was a common practice, the thought of it made her feel extremely uncomfortable. She snapped the box shut, as if it's contents had scorched her.
Internally reprimanding Meghan for leaving her with such a wanton gift, she jumped when she heard a knock on the door. Knowing it was Khai, she ran to her closet to stuff the box under her sweaters. She felt like a criminal, rubbing her sweaty palms on her leggings and taking deep breaths as she opened the door for him.
