“Leave the weapon.” I held my hand out as I slowly moved toward Reese. The ultimate insult for a Mafia Soldier was for him to have to relinquish his weapon.

“Over my dead body.” Reese pointed his gun at me, but Logan and Marshall both gunned him down before he had a chance to fire. Reese probably would have lived if Marshall hadn’t shot him point-blank between the eyes. But he wasn’t playing, and neither was I.

Logan nodded toward Reese’s body, speaking to Riley and Vance. “Take him with you.”

Riley stumbled over and helped Vance pick up Reese’s body. “You’re going to regret this when Alpha Shane finds out!”

I shrugged. “He knows where to find me.” I picked up Reese’s weapon and checked to make sure it was loaded. It only had four bullets, so I had to make them count. I slipped the gun into the back of my pants and headed into the restaurant with Logan and Marshall by my side.
