Phoenix’s POV.
“Have you seen Adel?” I asked Miguel.
“For the third time in,” Miguel stopped to look at his watch, “twenty minutes… No, I haven’t seen your mate.”
Miguel shot me an amused look before he looked down at the pile of paperwork on the desk in front of him. I searched through the bond, but my mate had gotten good at avoiding me, hiding in our bond. The newly found trick was cute at first. Now it was just frustrating.
“How much longer do you think this is going to take?” I felt my skin itching in the need to find Adel.
“Why? Got somewhere better to be?” Miguel smirked at me, looking up from the papers.
“You know what today is Miguel…”
“It’s Monday…” Miguel teased me.
I growled as I pushed away from my desk, throwing on my denim jacket, and pushed past my Beta who laughed at my exiting form from my office which now I kept in Adel’s and my larger cabin we had just finished building.
