My Gorgeous Ladies
I fired the pair of arrows, they impacted the tree with a dull thud, the power behind it was undeniable. Then the arrows dematerialised and went back into my inventory.
I pulled the crossbow's string and they materialised again in the casket; firing them again, following this procedure.
This is a method that I innovate to use the crossbow.

Several ladies stood beside me during this sunny summer; all of them gasping... mostly trying to understand what they just saw. Even Lucy was confused, she didn't know this about me.
She had agreed to me before that using a crossbow would be the best option since we may not necessarily have much ammo available to us during this catastrophe, Lucy had her doubts but I think my current display convinced her... I'll get her a crossbow too, this time online since I don't intend to spend even a single gacha point if I can help it.
We were in our new mansion's garden, the servants had already departed after wishing us good luck... they left the mansion pristine and ready for us, there is only half a billion yen in my account, I'm broke.
The week was uneventful but I promised that I'd explain everything to them this Saturday, and before beginning, I needed to give them a touch of 'surrealism' this is as much 'magic' as I can muster without spending gacha points.
Saya and Yuriko approached me to study the crossbow as if it was some sort of magic pole, ladies... the one that did the 'magic' was me, so study my 'pole' instead.
I lent it to them and coughed, standing in front of the group of ladies who I more than clearly held feelings for, Rei is not here... that's because I have yet to decide about her.
Saeko, Saya, Shizuka and Lucy... then there is Yuriko who is complicated, in more ways than one.
They stood in front of me, awaiting my explanation, their brains were already blown away by whatever I just did, I expressively told them to 'not shout' or lose their calm so... there they are, expecting me to make sense out of the unnatural.
"As I was saying... I'm the hero summoned by the goddess to save this world, I'm a saint".
"Stop your bullshit, Brand-kun... you're a hooligan. Give me the real explanation" Yuriko tapped her heels, looking at me as if she found a new toy to play with. When she's not pulling me to her breasts, she can be quite the pain.
'I'm not lying you know? maybe not a saviour but I'm definitely some sort of hero, instead of having a legendary sword, I have a Gacha... instead of being heroic, I'm promiscuous... but the goddess that summoned me is still real. Little details.
I coughed again.
"It is not completely false".
"But there was some falsehood there..." Saya affirmed, smart little vixen.
"Only the part where I'm a hero and a saviour, anyway... now talking seriously... Lucy and I were summoned into this world because in a year there will be a catastrophe that we must stop" I didn't specify that I was the one that summoned Lucy, I believe we can work perfectly well without me delving into the Gacha.
"But you are my sister's daughter... you have been here from the beginning" My aunt frowned and I understand her worries.
"That is not something even I can explain, Yuriko, I have no memories of my parents before my fourteen years of age, but if we delve into every detail, we will be here all day... Shizuka" I pointed to my blonde girlfriend who is currently twirling her hair, in her own world.
"Y-Yes?"
"You're confused, aren't you?"
My words drew their gazes towards Shizuka while the beauty tapped her luscious lips in consideration.
"You're Brand-kun... the one that has been living with me for three years, right?~"
"Yes".
"That's all I care about..." The blonde hugged me and I kissed her lips lightly, thanks for being an airhead... it makes you so adaptable, I love you.
"Here, take some marshmallows" I prepared them exclusively for her.
"Yai~" Shizuka took the marshmallows and sat down on the grass, enjoying herself... seriously, I love her.
"..." Saya's veins were popping, "Why did you never tell me?"
"I didn't think you'd take it as calmly as you're taking it" I affirmed, seeing all of them so calm, Lucy showed me a glint as if saying 'I told you'... what? you didn't tell me shit, you were distrustful of them too...
"That's because I willingly deactivated my rationality... in a few minutes I'll start screaming," Saya said, making me hug her as well.
"Please don't do that... ask any question you'd have".
"How did you get the money?" Saya started, it was a question they all had so I merely relayed it to Lucy.
"I'm from another world, from the year 2077... I'm a hacker, the best hacker... the technology in this world is obsolete compared to what I'm used to, Language C is so old that I know all of its vulnerabilities, they're registered in my mind. 90% of this world's current software is based in C language... that's about the gist of it. That doesn't make me a god, there are things I can't do, but... hacking the national Japanese treasury wasn't difficult" Lucy shrugged her shoulders as if she was just dropping peanuts.
Yuriko in particular was astounded, she seems to have her fair share of knowledge about technology.
"Are you saying that you're a greater genius than me?"
Now is not the time, Saya.
"That has been the case from the beginning, spoiled brat~"
"Y-You!"
"Stop you two..." Saeko spoke, dragging everyone's attention to her, she had been silent so far. My eyes focused on her, awaiting her answer.
"Brand..." She hugged me just as I hugged Saya, basically... we were in a triangle hug.
"Yes?"
"What is the catastrophe about? what is it that you need such a massive bunker?"
"I don't need such a massive bunker, to be truthful, I don't know... the only keyword I know is 'infection'... but it is a catastrophe so a lot of lives will be lost, whether it is a meteor falling from the skies with a virus, or some sudden pandemic... it doesn't matter, what matters is that we have a place to hide and be isolated from the rest, that's what I desired... this mansion looked fancy so I got it, that's all".
"I see, as your woman, I will have your back... it is my responsibility".
"As straightforward as always..." I knew Saeko was going to be the easiest to convince, so I kissed her fervently... this is my purple-haired girlfriend, a psycho... but I love her that way.
"Brand-chan, is that the reason why you pulled all of us to work out?" Shizuka asked with a bright smile, the bag of marshmallows was empty... no way, no wonder you're so 'big' and 'soft'.
"Yes... I didn't know if I should have told you back then, so... I did what I could, try to get you all prepared in order for you to survive... my initial idea was to leave all of you in a safe place and go with Lucy to accomplish our mission but-".
None of them liked that.
"I hope those are not your thoughts anymore, Brand..." Saya pulled my collar ominously.
"Of course not, I got us this safe haven because I want to be with all of you".
The girls blushed in succession light street lights when you're in the middle of the road and want to take a wee; all red.
"How cute~ him and his girlfriends, my nephew is such a cutie" Yuriko pulled my cheeks and shamelessly took me from my girlfriend's embrace, pulling me into her cleavage, she won't give it a rest.
"You too aunty~" I said wickedly, with all due purpose.
Yuriko blushed as if catching my hidden message before pulling me out of her cleavage with an ominous frown and twitching eyebrows.
"Stop your nonsense, I'm married and have my own place to protect... but I hope if we ever need somewhere to stay..."
I frowned and so did she. I'd not like this mansion to become a public safeguard, I want this to be my private stronghold. She's insinuating to allow the people from her Takagi Clan in here if that need is, but... I'm against the idea. This world may have softened me but I'm still not about to trust anyone outside this circle.
That said, this is Yuriko, my beloved aunt. She has helped me immensely and I trust her... if she were to ask me for that help, I don't know if I can say no.
"We will see if it comes to that, Yuriko, but... I don't mind helping you strengthen your place... Lucy, transfer her some money" this was the best solution I could come up with in the short term, to make it so that she doesn't need my help.
"Uhm, how much will you need?" Lucy took her phone and asked Yuriko while we all took a seat on the grass.
"About ten billion?~"

Everyone gasped, me included.
"Okaa-sama?! what are you going to get? an army?! a cargo ship!?"
"I had to try... since my nephew wants to spoil me..." Yuriko sent me a suggestive mysterious glance, I don't understand what that gaze means.
"Give her the ten billion... that money is going to be useless in less than a year, can you prepare in that time?" I asked her.
"I should be able to at least strengthen our security... do you know an exact date of when this is going to be?"
"No... I have no idea, I was only told it would be in a year three months ago".
"Who told you?"
"The Goddess of Luck~"
"Oh, shut up..." Yuriko and Saya rolled their eyes, I'm not joking.
"What? you don't believe me? I have the best girls in the world here with me, you still think I'm not lucky?"
"Compliments won't get you anywhere, brat..." Yuriko blushed and lay on her back, taking a napping position just as did Shizuka, I think we're about to fall asleep here... the sun looks beautiful and the atmosphere is perfect.
"No need to get anywhere, I already got what I need~"
All I need is right here, these girls.
At least this time I managed to make it different.
They're not my pawns, they're my companions.
I fell asleep on top of the warm grass in my new private mansion. Shizuka kiss me deeply and my senses were clouded with the taste of marshmallows; wrapped in warmth and delicious scents, this is life.
