Chapter 5: Match begins !
Both teams walked on the field and sparks were flying from their eyes, finally everyone was fired up, Harry's team was wearing green while the opponents wore a red and white jersey.
Harry and the opponent's captain walked to the referees to throw the coin and decide who would have the ball first, Harry picked tail and it was head so the opponents would start with the ball during the first half, Harry's team would have the ball first in the second half.
After a handshake the ball was put on the circle in the middle of the field and all that was left was to wait for the referee to blow his whistle.
FWEEEEET
With the whistle the game started, the opponent striker passed to ball back to his midfielder teammate and the ball kept being passed around to look for an opening, it was a classic strategy so Harry's team didn't bother wasting energy on running after the ball.
They kept closing every pass paths and pressuring the player with the ball, this stalemate lasted for a little less than a minute before the boy who had the ball felt too pressured and decided to kick the ball far into the other side, this way he wouldn't lose the ball in his half of the field and put his keeper in a dangerous situation.
Two players fought for the ball in the other side of the field but the home team's striker couldn't deal with the talented center back Lucas and lost the ball, Lucas looked around him and saw Mohamed the midfielder was alone near the middle of the field, he kicked the ball in his direction with strength but the ball stayed close to the ground and it was easily controlled by Mohamed who saw Harry making a dummy call and understood straight away what he wanted him to do.
Harry was being the lure, two players were already running with him in case Mohamed made a deep pass but they left Mohamed unmarked so he kicked the ball far ahead and hugged the line, the momentum changed. The red and white team all came back to their side while the green wearing team moved forward to assist Mohamed and Harry.
Finally before he could reach the penalty area a player came to stop Mohamed, the defenders had a man advantage over the attacking side, Harry and Mohamed were too far ahead of their team so they had to stall in a 4v2 situation.
Harry wasn't feeling like playing safe however, he had already lost his two leeches and was moving left of the field towards and open spot, he made a sign to Mohamed who passed it to him, he was standing on the left side of the penalty area but the defenders were already back on him, one of them at least, Moses had managed to reach the inside of the penalty area and was waiting for a cross.
Although Harry wanted to be selfish he would lose the appreciation of the scouts if he played if selfishly and lost the ball so he faked the defender and crossed the ball towards the second post sadly Moses lost his balance while fighting with the defender and the opponent got to the ball first and sent it out of bounds.
The referee blew his whistle and pointed towards the corner flag, everything happened in less than two minutes but it showed how fervent every player was to show off.
The corner shot was taken by David the left winger and the penalty area was a war zone, everybody was trying to make an opening and put the ball in the back of the net.
Following the whistle of the referee the ball was flown towards the first post where Harry was, he saw an opportunity and pushed his opponent to get to the ball first, everyone started moving towards the ball including the goalkeeper, Harry made it first on the ball but the angle was completely shut and he couldn't score it from there, he quickly scanned his surroundings and saw George the midfielder standing outside the box and he passed it to him in a fluid motion.
George wasn't expecting a pass there but he managed to control it and shot on target but it was caught by the keeper.
The pressure was too strong and it was hard to show your full potential in this situation especially for young men who were still in high school.
Harry knew that and he patted George on the shoulder as he went to position himself back to defend, the ball possession was switched again.
"Don't mind it, stay calm and we will win this one."

The game went on with a frightening rhythm but no goal was scored until the 37th minute, the red and white team were passing the ball around slowly while waiting for an opening but what they didn't expect was that Harry would intercept a pass towards a midfielder, the defender who committed the mistake came rushing towards Harry to try and stop him but was easily skipped thanks to a body feint, the rest of the defenders tried their best to catch up to him but Harry was too quick, in a few seconds he was on a one versus one facing the keeper.
With an elastico from Harry the keeper tried to slide left but the ball as if stuck to Harry's foot came back towards the right and all that was left was to push the ball in the net.
FUIIIIIT
The score board was finally updated 1-0 right before half time !
Everybody ran towards Harry and celebrated together, as he was celebrating he threw a furtive glance towards the scouts.
A few of them still looked uninterested but most of them were nodding and writing down stuff on their notepad.
'Hmm I wonder which team is interested and which one isn't…'
Of course he wanted to be scouted by one of the huge clubs that were present but he knew that It was very hard to be scouted at such a young age.
'I have to unleash all the talent I got from the system !'
With the sound of the whistle the game resumed, it was still as fast paced as before the goal was scored but the scoreboard didn't change anymore during the end of the first period.
After 45 minutes the first half ended with a sharp whistle noise, both teams were sent back to the locker rooms with 1-0 on the scoreboard in favor of the visitors.
