Deal
Siegfried leaned back in the chair and sighed.
'I only wanted to cultivate and study in peace for a few years…was that too much to ask?'
He observed Serena, the girl was still very nervous and keep looking around the room.
'I could just send her back to Artois, but he would probably kill her, even if just for disobeying him.'
"Fine…" Siegfried finally said.
Serena looked at him with some hope. "W-will you help me?"
"I can help you, but don't think for a moment that I will antagonize a high-tier noble without expecting something in return. I am not one of those knights in shining armor who go around risking their lives in exchange for nothing. Those only exist in tales."
Serena nodded in understanding and allowed him to continue.
"I will not go into details but, the mana-gathering technique I am currently using bathes the body in so much fire mana that creates some side effects. The most problematic of those effects is an increase in libido. Do you know what I'm talking about?" He asked.
Siegfried decided to use the terms taught at the academy instead of talking about yang energy and confusing the girl.
Serena blushed slightly "I-I do…"
"It can get bad enough to give problems while trying to meditate. I have been meaning to find a partner to help me out with this issue. I will help you with your problem and you will help me with mine. You will also be placed under my protection. Do we have a deal?" Siegfried asked without showing any change in his facial expression.
"You…you want me to sleep with you?." She asked with some hesitation.
"Correct. The deal will last for as long as we are both in the academy, no longer than that. You can come here three times a week, that much will not interfere with your studies." Explained Siegfried.
Serena started trembling slightly. "I…"
"I know what you are thinking. I will not treat you like that guy. This probably doesn't mean that much to you anymore. But you have my word as a noble that I will never hurt you." Siegfried said while looking into her eyes.
This seemed to reassure her worries a bit. "My friend…Angelina, can you help her too?."
"Yes." He assured her.
'I don't think Artois will care that much if it's one commoner or two.'
Serena stood up from her chair and gave Siegfried a light bow. "Then…I accept your deal."
"Good. You should stay here tonight, someone may be looking for you right now. Tomorrow morning we'll talk with Artois." Siegfried stood from his chair and went to one of his cabinets.
Serena "Thank you…"
"Take off your robes," Siegfried said while looking for something in the cabinet.
Serena blushed slightly, she was growing accustomed to being naked around others but it was still a bit embarrassing. She then complied and removed her robes. She wasn't wearing anything underneath, as instructed by Artois.
"Oh!, here it is." Siegfried took a small glass jar in his hands and turned to look at Serena.
Although her face could only be considered average, her body was nothing to scoff of.
Even at her age, she had an almost perfect hourglass shape with big breasts, a thin waist, and wide hips. Her long black hair fell over her shoulder and rested on her breasts. It was quite the sight, or it would be if she wasn't covered in bruises and cuts.
'Usually, I would prefer them a few years older, unfortunately, all of the seniors have already been taken by someone. But I have to admit, that bastard has good eyes.' Though Siegfried.
He placed the jar on the table and opened it up. He put some of the ointment on his finger and looked at Serena.
"Turn around."
She wasn't very sure where this was going, but it didn't
seem like he had any intention to hurt her, so she complied.
Siegfried moved her hair out of the way to reveal her back. Many thin red marks decorated the surface of her back. They were obviously caused by a whip or cane.
Siegfried said nothing and started to apply the ointment. The effect was immediate as the marks started to become less visible.
Serena gasped at the sensation. "What is that? it feels soo good."
"Is a healing ointment that was given by my family." After He was done, Siegfried took the jar from the table and handed it to her.
"You can do the rest of your body without my help. Make sure you cover all of your bruises and cuts, they will be gone by tomorrow."
"Wait…what?" She was very confused. This is not what she was expecting to happen.
"After you are done." Siegfried pointed to a corner. "You can sleep on that couch, is very comfortable."
"But I…we…" She didn't know how to say it. Instead, she keeps giving glances at Siegfried and the bed.
"We will not be doing anything tonight. I need to meditate
and you need to heal those wounds."
He gave her a last passing glance before sitting on the bed in the lotus position and closing his eyes.
Serena was looking very carefully at the jat that Siegfried had given her. "Isn't this very expensive? is it really okay for me to use it?"
Siegfried opened one eye.
"If it wasn't okay, I would not have given it to you. Now, unless is an extreme emergency, don't bother me while I am meditating." He close his eye again and went back to cultivating.
Serena started to apply the ointment to the rest of her body. Her legs, arms, and belly had also many bruises and a few cuts. She then put some on her neck, where one could still see the marks of the rope that Artois decided to use the day before. The only part that He never touched was their faces.
After she finished applying the ointment, the relief was immediate. She could feel the pain going away.
"Wow…this is amazing!"
She then put her robes back on, walked to the couch, and lay down.
"This is like ten times more comfortable than my bed!" She exclaimed with surprise.
The room was only illuminated by a few candles and it had a very welcoming aura to it.
Serena had been having problems sleeping since her nightmare started. But in this place, she somehow felt safe. She closed her eyes and slept.
