Chapter 29: Holy war and a new enemy
The meeting room was in a tense mood, as the news reached every person present
"Generals, a so called 'Saviour god' is being worshipped by the alliance, that new religion also brings holy warriors with them" I told them the bad news
Most generals doesnt know what to do, as for them, the only god they worship is the real one, but out of nowhere a new one appears... They even brings holy magic like their choosen one
'Its seems that people of this era still cant accept that there are many gods out there...' i thought while thinking of a solution
"Now, for the good news, their power is diluted in many people, so they dont have many powerful soldiers, but have many decent ones"
"From our intel, there is only one person who has more power than usual, and its the 'Holy maiden', she is powerful, but not on the extreme, we can kill her with a good plan"
I gaze around, even after telling this much, the people are still confused by the situation
'I need to make something to make their god 'evil''
"Bring the prisoner here!" I shout to the assistant on the side
The generals are perplexed at my sudden actions.
How do we know this much about an enemy religion? Well, we have a prisoner, and after a funny sesion of torture, he gave in
"Also, call major Tanya here, she should be still in the capital at this pont" After that, another person leaves the room
10 minutes later, Tanya enters the room
5 minutes later, a cuffed man, who still has many wounds enters the room
Tanya looks at me, its seems like she is asking why is she here
As she has seen the documents before coming, she roughly knows about the situation
"People, what im going to show you, i will do it later for the masses" I say and make a grab motion in the air
Confused at my actions, the generals doesnt know what to do, until a shining spear appears in my hand
Its a majestic spear with two spearheads, its completly golden and gives a very holy aura. Basically, it feels like the weapons of a god
"This is something i wanted to never use, as god told me demons would never appear" I made a story our of nowhere
"This spear is very powerful, but at the same time very weak. It can only be used against demons and devil followers!" I said and then attacked Tanya with the spear
Unprepared and shocked, she is impaled in the chest, looking at me with an unbelieving expression
Tanya is shocked, the generals are shocked and even the prisoner is shocked
Some seconds pass and... there is no blood, Tanya is still there, with the spear... on her chest...
I retrieve the spear, not a drop a blood is on the spear
"This spear cant hurt people like us, who believe in true god" After saying that, i walk towards the prisoner
In expectation, the generals eyes follows me
Now in front of the prisoner, i pierce him
"Aaargh-"
The instant the spear pierced him, holy fire began to burn him
"I curse you, demons of the empire!" The poor guy shouted before being swallowed in holy fire
The room is silent
After a few seconds, the generals and assistants following them starts to pray
A few minutes later... yes, they were praying for minutes
They look at me, and then at the spear. No more hesitation can be seen on their faces, only resolution to do their holy task, to kill the demons
Yes, they accepted the other people as demons
"Remember, the soldiers holding their so called 'Holy power' are demon worshippers, we dont need to feel pity fo them" I said, trying to maintain their faith firm
"Tanya, i will let you carry our god spear to the battle. Kill the filthy heretics!" I said while giving the spear to her
She looks at me with a weird expression, as she knows im not a crazy believer of some god. She even knows that im not the 'Choosen one' or some crazy thing like that
She takes the spear, makes a bow and leave the room, as she cant bear the fanatism here
While leaving she hears a {Message} from me
I told her about the spear and that this evil slaying is just bullshit. The holy fire? It was just me casting holy flame afting impaling him. The not piercing allies? A little trick with space magic
The only thing she needs to know is the limit of this thing, which is:
She can completly kill and destroy anyone one time per week... And its also unbreakable and can pierce almost anything on this world
After hearing this, she almost fell, as she find this weapon... useless. Yes, useless, because she mostly fight with a rifle, a fucking RIFLE, how can she get in melee combat?!
Before she starts to complain, i told her that she can just mark someone with her mind and throw the spear, it will automaticly fly toward the marked one and destroy it.
Now she thinks better of the spear, as a certain death at a distance is pretty good, even if it is a week cooldown
...
After that event, 1 week has passed, now we finally captured another holy warrior of them as a prisoner. I retrieved the spear from Tanya for a little for this event
After that we gathered many people in one place, some of them has already started to doubt their religion, as the news of a true god granting people blessings of another country is already spreading
After adjusting the cameras and filming items, we start the same show of before
I bring the spear in a majestic and holy way and explain the demons... blablabla... then a general approach me to get pierced
I impale a happy general who won the role.... yeah, the role of being impaled by the holy spear is popular right now... anyway
After showing how the general was fine, people were shocked and happy, as they are believers of a true god, and this supernatural event showed this
After calming the people, the event continues
After piercing the prisoner, he started to burn in holy fire, like his predecessor
People exclaims and shout in happines
Some people cry at this miracle, some people pray on the spot
There is even the pope who is crying on the side... again
Now is the moment for the spech
"People of the Empire, I am general Wilson, or as some of you knows me, 'The choosen one'!"
"Standing here, i realize, those people worshiping the demons arent like us! Now, the empire is trying to make history, a holy war, not to conquest, but to slay the demons!"
I lift the spear, making it shine on the sun, like a godly and sacred weapon
People are cheering, making their faith renew
The dubious ones are now believing and praying, as they were just thinking of the other religion, but never wanted of worship demons
My spech was filmed and broadcasted to the whole Empire
There were many spies among the Empire, they saw the event and started to doubt their country... Were they really worshiping some demons? those are the thoughts of many spies
...
After that, and with renewed vigor, the soldiers started to march in a holy task, to kill the heretics. Tanya also was ascended to Lieutenant Colonel, she leads a part of the invasion
By the way, she graduated early from the college, as she progressed very fast in times of active war
Before she leaves, i told her something which made her hate the 'demon worshippers' more than anyone
"That so called Being X is leading this religion, as the world was going to be conquered by the empire at this rate and he didnt want that" Thats what i told her

2 months later
An angry Tanya was something very bad for the enemies, as she killed many people, mostly worshippers of their religion
Also, if this was a strategy game, above the soldiers morale would be a buff named 'Unbreakable', as they turned into fanatics with no hesitation. This is also a side effect of the spear, as i casted {Holy Resolve} on it before leaving, making the people Tanya leads fearless
On the other fronts we are also winning, as Ainz on his warrior form is still killing. By now he started to see the 'Death Energy' who is coming from the corpses. He is starting to gather said energy to make a breakthrough to his own power
The sad thing is that after all of this killing, he transformed only 5% of his mana to death energy. He will need years to get this new power... althought he doesnt seem sad... on the contrary, he looks very happy, as he always liked to grind in games

1 year and 3 Months later, the war has been going for two years
The alliance by now is panicking noticing the unstoppable conquest of the Empire
By now they already know about the whole 'Demon worshippers' thing.... but what can they do about it? They told that this intel was a lie fabricated by the Empire to make us hesitate
The alliance countries started to merge and near each other, as they know they can only resist as one entity
By now, almost half of the continent was conquered by the Empire, gaining many resources and also many new believers in 'True god'
Many people died on this holy war
The population of the world is decreasing at an alarming rate
Someone looking from a secondary dimension of this world is not very happy about this
"Fuck those people! I just needed half a century before breaking to the next rank, and they ruined everything!" Shouted Being X on his little dimension
As the only god managing this world, he gathered all of the energy made. He is a war god, so he gathers energy from war
The world was in a constant but balanced war, no one conquered the other one, only endless war, year after year. It was until the Empire broke the loop, starting a streak of conquest
He even took action, appearing in some people's dreams and giving them a little blessings so they could restore the balance in the world, trying to make the war stay for a few more decades
But not even that stopped the Empire, they continued and killed every worshipper of his
Someone could say that this great war concerning the world will give many energy to Being X, but thats just on the short term. In these 2 years he only gained the same as 10 years of before disrupting the loop
He needs more than 50 years of energy, so even if the empire wins after a great war, he will still lack energy. Also is the question... after the war? If the Empire conquer the world then the war will stop and he wont get more energy
"This is personal now" He said before vanishing

Right now im in front of the main chrurch of the Empire in the capital
Im gazing at the sky above it and watching how faith comes from afar and is converted into godly energy. A great mass of godly energy is floating and moving, trying to take the shape of something
'At this rate, and anticipating more territory believeing in the Empire god... I think 15 or 20 more years are enough for the new god to be born' I thought
I suddendly turn around
"I feel a disturbance in the force" i say to... no one, just myself, vanishing after saying that
...
In the void, between the first and second dimension of this world, Being X is flying, going to the first dimension, also know as the real world
I suddendly appear in front of him
"You couldnt resist?" I said, gazing at the 'Powerful' god
"You... you are that 'thing' i couldnt see in this world. Now tell me, why are you stopping me?"
"I cant let you go around destroying the empire, that wont be fun"
"Fun? I dont care about your needs of fun, im the owner of this world and also its people. I can destroy anyone as they belong to me" He said with a face like he really think like that, then continues
"I know you are on my level, as you can stay in the second dimension, but you must know that killing someone of our level is not easy. Now make way, i wont repeat myself"
After that... i stay in place, not moving an inch and not saying anything more to him, waiting for his attack so he can see the gap of power
"You asked for it" He said and then waves his hand, firing a godly ray in the form of a bullet at me... its seems that god is also influenced by the era of his world
The bullet is nearing me and... dissapears the moment it touchs me
With a more serious face, Being X fires more bullets at me.... leading to the same outcome
"How can this be?" he said, not believing in this
"You cant do anything to me, im many times stronger than you, but i can give you a chance"
"A chance?" He asks, while making preparations to flee, as he is not confident in this
"I can let you go to the mortal world, but you power will be sealed to the peak of a mortal, you can go and convince them of being a holy man or something. Go and lead the alliance to fight the empire, as that would be more fun" Now that shit is happening and i cant expect a smoth conquest, lets just have fun with the challenge
"I... okay, i accept, i will beat you. Will you not kill me if i win your 'game'?" He asks, knowing that someone who is literally immune to his attacks can kill him with ease, maybe he is in the Major god realm imprinted in his memories. He will reach that realm if the world stay at war for a thousand years more
"Sure, if you can beat me, or more correctly, the Empire, then i wont kill you at the end" I said to Being X, who looks calmer.
'I never said that i was going to let you live of protect you. Let the others 2 do the job... maye Tanya can kill him to vent her anger' I thought while gazing at him.
I wave my hands and Being X dissapears, teleporting him to a random location of the Alliance with his powers sealed to the peak mortal realm, being the transcended realm lvl 9
How is he going to be the leader of the alliance? I dont care, i just hope he do it fast
'The war is going to get more intense' That were my last thoughts before leaving the second dimension, going back to the capital

A.N: For those wondering about the dimensions, let me explain a little. Every world or universe has many dimension, the first one being the material one. In this case on the universe of Youjou Senki apart from the first material dimension, only the secondary dimension is know, as only 1 god lives in this universe. Other universes where the power is higher has many more dimensions explored, ranging from the second to... no limit, really.
To explain it in simple terms, weak people who are still mortals can stay in the first dimension, while people on the minor god realm can only stay on the second dimension. The more powerful you are the higher you can go. As for why the powerful people goes for higher dimension? ... Its just their instinct, always trying to go higher, they just make their homes on the higher dimensions and stay there to assert dominance over weaker beings
By the way, Rob, our protagonist, can go to any dimension stage he wants
This dimensioning system is used to give the world more depth, and also to make the godly fights in the future better, as they cant go destroying a planet in every fight and will fight in another dimension
