I take a deep breath. I don't carewhohe is. I've dealt with men like him my whole life. My father, my boyfriends. Guys who think they can control me and decide who I'm going to be or what I'm going to do. Guys who don't respect boundaries.

I steel myself and walk quickly. I get to the door and pound on it before I lose my nerve.
