How could she not know? It was her ability. I stopped myself from finishing that train of thought. I ran my hand over her hair beside me. She had fallen asleep clearly tried as she had said. That just left me alone with my thoughts. I heard my tablet ding. I slid out from under Ava as quietly as I could so I didn't wake her. I made sure she was still asleep and left the room to check the alert. It was a message from Jiksi.

<Vucali pack spotted half a days ride to the west>

<I will be there in five. Ask Mina to bring food for Ava in the morning?>

<Kanno already volunteered.> Ninit sent. He must have been watching the chat while he got ready. I went to the weapons room. There a put on two swords and a spear.
