Chapter 157: The Avengers Against the Apocalypse 1
Jack sent a message to Maria Hill to call all the Avengers to the headquarters. He opened a portal and went to get Natasha so she could go with him to the headquarters and wait for the others. Then, Jack went to Asgard to call for Thor.
Fortunately, Thor was in Asgard this time, otherwise, Jack would have had to reveal that he could find him. This time, Jack intended for Thor to deal with Storm. This could help Thor awaken his powers, and Jack could heal Storm after she was defeated.
The only Avengers who could deal with Storm without holding back were Thor and Wanda. After all, as a temporary villain, Storm would definitely fly. Most heroes could only defeat her by killing her, which was not an option.
"Thor, we have another great threat for the Avengers to face, we need your help," said Jack.
"How are you calling me to fight this time? It must be a great threat since you didn't need to call me last time," said Thor.

"Okay, let's go to Earth then. I have no wars to participate in the Nine Realms now," said Thor.
So Jack used teleportation and took Thor to the Avengers' base, where they waited for the others. The heroes who flew and lived in New York arrived first, and they had to wait a little longer for Hawkeye and War Machine to arrive.
"Sorry for calling you all suddenly, but as you can imagine, Earth has a new threat. I don't think we'll have trouble solving it, but if we don't do something quickly, millions of people could die," said Jack.
The Avengers focused on Jack when he began to speak. They knew it had to be some kind of emergency, but if they could handle it easily, it was less worrisome. They didn't start imagining what it was and waited for Jack to speak.
"I have already talked a little bit about this with most of you, but I will say it more clearly now. On Earth, there are people who are different. They have something called the Gene X, and with this difference in their DNA, something changes," said Jack.
"These people with the Gene X can gain various different things, which can range from a power compared to us, the Avengers, or just a skin with scales and a different color."
"There are several million people like this in the world, and they are called mutants. Many mutants prefer to hide to avoid prejudice, and even some powerful ones have decided to hide to maintain peace."
"You know a mutant, that man who helped us in the Battle of New York, who had metal claws in his hands. His name is Wolverine, and he is a mutant. Some of you may also know about them," said Jack.
Most of the Avengers were surprised because they had never heard of mutants before. As Jack had said, Xavier had done a good job of hiding them. Some Avengers had seen mutants before, but they thought it was just a different power.
They did not know that millions of people had something in common, which was Gene X. This could certainly create a large community and make all of them susceptible to some kind of prejudice from humans without Gene X.
"So, the opponent this time is these mutants? Are they capable of threatening to destroy the Earth?" asked Hawkeye.
"It's a little more complicated than that. There are mutants who have the ability to kill millions of people, just like it happens among humans. In mutants, there are also villains and people who continue to be evil after awakening powers," said Jack.
"But there are also some mutants who are not like us, the Avengers. They have powers and want to protect mutants and not attack humans. That's why they are the ones who prevent these evil mutants with powers from killing many people."
"The opponent this time is the Brotherhood of Mutants, a group of mutants who are evil. But their leader is the one who made this group dangerous. He was known as an ancient god of Egypt who is immortal and was awakened by the Brotherhood of Mutants," said Jack.
The Avengers were surprised when they heard Jack talk about an ancient god of Egypt. They knew that for Jack to say that, he recognized that the opponent was really powerful. Jack says that he was immortal and had been awakened after hundreds of years showing that he was powerful.
Thor was also interested in this ancient god, he was also considered a god by humans and by many of the nine realms, he even thought he was a god until recently, but he knew for sure he was different from humans and could live for thousands of years.
"This ancient god is called En Sabah Nur, he is one of the first mutants and ruled over humanity along with some mutants for a few centuries over a thousand years ago," said Jack.
Some of the Avengers who knew history from the past remembered hearing something about En Sabah Nur, which showed that he was not a common person, someone who could rule over humanity for several centuries was different.
Soon Jack talked about the powers of each member of the Brotherhood of Mutants, even trying to guess how their powers increased with the help of Apocalypse, Jack was more certain about the strength of the X-men that were controlled.
"Now that you know our enemies, let's talk about the plans. Steve, I'm sorry, you can lead when we get to the battlefield, but as I know the X-men and mutants, I think I should decide who fights whom," said Jack.
"Sure, Jack, you're a good leader too, and you know the enemies better," said Steve.
"I called Thor to deal with Storm, Thor, you'll be able to show why you're called the god of thunder, you have to attack Storm only with your lightning and not let her use tornadoes or snowstorms to not disturb the others," said Jack.
"You can handle lightning well too, Jack, I wanted to deal with Apocalypse," said Thor.
"I understand, Thor, but Apocalypse is a tough opponent for you, he can defend himself from Mjolnir and lightning easily, he can teleport, and is almost immortal, so to defeat him, you may end up helping to destroy the Earth," said Jack.
