Chapter 129: New Avengers 3

Soon Bruce returned to his human form to prove he could control his transformation into the Hulk. Those who knew the Hulk were shocked to see Bruce able to control the angry monster.

"You keep many secrets, Battle Sage. The Hulk disappeared in Africa many years ago and S.H.I.E.L.D could not find him anymore, but now I know why. After all, you were hiding him," Natasha said.

"Well, all of you who worked with the government know the terrible things Bruce had to go through because of a general who made a serious mistake. That's why I only brought Bruce here because he has my protection and can control the Hulk's form so that the government has no excuse to attack him," Jack said.

Hearing this, Natasha fell silent. As S.H.I.E.L.D was responsible for monitoring the Hulk, she knew well what the American government had done to Bruce and then began to hunt him down. Natasha only wanted to make a joke because she was impressed that Jack had managed to hide Bruce from the government.

Everyone approved of the Hulk joining the Avengers, and now they had 13 members. Some wanted to know why Bruce said he could control his transformation almost completely, but Jack said that was Bruce's secret, and the others didn't ask any more questions.

"Now that all the new members have been approved, let's discuss our next missions. I will explain to those who don't know the story of the end of S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain America and Natasha, with Sam's help, discovered that Hydra had taken control of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Jack said.

"The leader of S.H.I.E.L.D and the person who spoke directly to the Secretary of the World Council was a Hydra member infiltrated, Alexander Pierce. He was the one who ordered Nick Fury's assassination and almost succeeded," Jack said.

"Hydra had the plan to send three Helicarriers into the sky and use the connection with the satellites and the weapons of the three Helicarriers to kill people that Hydra wanted to eliminate, in the present and the future. The people in this room were also targets of the Helicarriers."

"As some of you saw, I destroyed those three Helicarriers and Steve managed to eliminate some Hydra personnel within S.H.I.E.L.D with Sam's help, Natasha released all the information about S.H.I.E.L.D and Hydra on the internet," said Jack.

The Avengers members who knew parts of the story and those who knew nothing had no idea they could have died if Hydra's plans had succeeded. Few Avengers would survive an attack from three Helicarriers.

"As you can see from the near massacre, Hydra is very dangerous. S.H.I.E.L.D, which could have helped us control Hydra, no longer exists. That's why Captain America, Sam Wilson, and Nick Fury have been researching where Hydra's bases are and destroying their smaller bases over the past few months," said Jack.

"Now only the bigger bases remain, the problem is that it's impossible to destroy these bases with a small team. It would require a large army or a group of powerful people."

"Creating a large army is impossible because Hydra's bases are in various different countries in Europe, but for the Avengers, it's possible and not even that difficult, so this is our next mission," said Jack.

Maria Hill, who was listening to Jack's words, handed each Avenger a folder with information that Steve and Fury had gathered over the past few months. Only a few Avengers looked at the information, while most just looked at Jack.

"We cannot allow Hydra to exist, but it's not possible to eliminate them completely. So we will destroy their larger bases, and it will take them several years to come up with a plan to commit a massacre again," said Jack.

"These missions will also be useful for us to become a real team and for everyone to personally see the skills of the new members," said Jack.

"But I must say that this is not a mandatory mission, anyone who wants to can choose not to participate or can participate in only some of them. Thor will not participate in any mission, of course, but the new members are required to participate in most of the missions."

Jack said this and looked at Tony, Peter, and Clint. Tony would participate in some missions only because he was filled with hatred towards Hydra, which killed his parents, but Jack thought he would quickly tire and not participate in all the missions.

Peter wouldn't want to stay away from New York for too long, and this mission was for the Avengers to get to know each other better as a team, so Jack wouldn't create a portal for anyone to return home to rest after the missions.

Clint wouldn't want to participate because he knew his skills wouldn't be as useful in this mission with so many powerful Avengers participating. Maybe he would participate in some missions, but he preferred to go home and be with his wife and children.

Of the new Avengers, Johnny, and Rhodes would leave when their mandatory missions were over because Rhodes had to return to the army and Johnny would easily get tired of the missions.

There were more than 30 Hydra bases, and since the goal of these missions was for the Avengers to become a group and to be friends, Jack wouldn't use his portal abilities. They would have to travel by plane to each Hydra base.

The Avengers traveled in a Quinjet made by Tony Stark with energy from the arc reactor, S.H.I.E.L.D. technology, and Jack's help. The Avengers' Quinjets had the technology to become invisible and move at 3 Mach.

Since they were moving around Europe, this Quinjet would make the journey last no more than an hour, as they wouldn't travel from one side of Europe to the other. They would stop in several countries to destroy Hydra bases.

Just as Jack had thought, Peter and Clint came to him and said they would only participate in the first few missions and would only participate if necessary afterward. Jack agreed and felt bad for Clint. He couldn't lie to him by saying he was a great Avenger.

Clint was certainly not bad for the Avengers, but he was the easiest to die in a mission and would be more helpful in missions where they would fight an army or against very strong enemies that even Iron Man would have difficulty with.

Jack was still thinking about when he would tell them that he created the Super Soldier Serum and the Extremis virus. Maybe Clint would accept these two and refuse only the Elixir of Life, after all, he would accept being a second Captain America.
