"The two of them were trying to harm the Serafim!" Elder Xarex roared in retort to Iris's anger, but the sweet luna didn't back down. She really hated it when the people she cared was being hurt. 

"And what exactly did she do?! How could you punish her without any discussion with us when you are well aware she is our people! Are you taking us lightly?!" Iris hollered, her voice echoed inside the main hall, making everyone stunned by her outburst. "What is your explanation!?"

Cane watched how his mate was having it with the elders. 

The room fell into silence, but then someone came through the door with sleepy face and his hoarse voice that broke this tensed atmosphere.
