Chapter 14: EP14

They sat down and studied the menu, but Alex had no idea what to order. Richard placed an order for them at his request.

After ordering, the waiter brought a bottle of champagne and an elegant plate of caviar, and Alex commented on the prompt service.

"Oh, they always bring that out for me," said Richard contemptuously. "Most people have bread on their desk... the boss knows I like things a little more refined."

Alex took a sip of champagne and found that the champagne was incredibly clear and light. As he wasn't much of a drinker, he felt dizzy after the first glass. While he was tasting that sparkling wine, Richard prepared a piece of mini toast with a spoonful of caviar for him to try.

She gnawed at him gently, and when she looked up she saw Richard watching her with a fixed gaze. He blushed, grinned.

"You like it?" ' Richard asked, his voice high with expectation. He shook his head.
