Tongue-tied and a blushing, cooing mess, Lucien couldn't manage to get the words back out to return the affection, but that was alright. The look in his eyes said plenty.

/"If you're feeling a little bit too small today and you need to come home,/" he said before leaving, /"Then phone Daddy and tell your boss you're feeling sick, alright? I'll come get you right away./"

/"Okies, Daddy./" Lucien gave a very serious, very dramatic nod. It didn't exactly fill him with reassurance, but what choice did he have but to leave?

The drive uptown was a long and tedious one. Morning rush hour was a bitch, and he ended up diverting to the nearest drive-through to tank up on caffeine to curb his road rage. It took over an hour, which was a fucking joke, to reach his apartment.
