Zeke's lungs threatened to burst as he tore his way towards Azia and the rogue wolves. Both of the rogues were massive in size, but they weren't as fast as Azia was. Nevertheless, eventually she would get tired, and when they caught up with her, she wouldn't be able to stand a chance – not two against one. It was imperative that Zeke got to her at all costs. He peered closer at the wolves. One seemed familiar, but he couldn't be sure. The rogues were both moving too quickly.

He pushed his body and his lungs as hard as they would go. He could tell that Azia was starting to slow down. He had no idea how long the rogues had been chasing her. It was possible that she had been in peril all night and nobody who cared about her even knew. The thought felt like a knife wound to his heart.
