Chapter 82: The Second Gem I
After finishing the 'Call' with Catherine, Alucard rested in place, right at the edge of the building with his legs crossed, looking at the buzzing city as the wine made its way through his accursed throat.
'...Are you not going to do anything about them, Master?'
Alucard chuckled and it was only then that he remembered the several men that hid with concealing devices and camo gear, they had high-calibre guns and masks.
'Yellow Flame Iron Brigade and even Flower Rain… Looks like they finally triangled a pattern out of your teleportation locations, Master... It is faster than I thought' Alcina giggled in his mind, totally unconcerned about the soldier's presence.
For Alucard, this was his 'home' ever since he arrived in this world.
Vampires had many places that they called home, but most of those places were on the streets.
For one he didn't need to sleep and his important belongings were stored in his shadow, even his Ferrari was stored away by his shadow once he left.
Therefore, he usually came to this place out of many to spend the night when he wasn't hunting or working.
But it wasn't only that...

The soldiers, one of many groups of the Yellow Brigade that had been stationed since the catastrophe in many key places where they thought the Shadow Hound could eventually appear, couldn't help but gape as after so long there was finally some movement... But it wasn't who they expected.
Vlad Tepes!?
How did he even get in here!?
Flower Rain, a woman with silver hair, a mask and a very tight suit, frowned upon seeing the billionaire's relaxed behaviour as he drank his wine at the edge of the building...
"He's not the Shadow Hound, the 'Shadow Hound' is a girl! Stand By" She reported through the communicator.
But just as Alucard was awaiting them to make their move, a voice resounded in the area.
...
"Do you finally have some time to talk Ares? I never thought that the new Ares would end up being such a manwhore~ flirting with three women in one day and successfully imprinting yourself in their hearts, amazing~"
Out of nowhere, floating in front of Alucard, a beautiful blonde woman with purple shining eyes materialised in rather modern clothes that failed in hiding her bombshell of a body.
Her appearance produced Alucard many reactions.
Surprise, at the fact that he wasn't able to sense her, despite fact that she had apparently been tailing him for long if she even knew his whereabouts.
Bloodlust, at the smell she exuded. It was kilometres apart from Athena's but still high, he could feel she was quite strong.
And a deadpan at being called 'manwhore'...
'This bitch!' Hearing her master get called with such a term, Alcina was about to impale this bitch when Alucard stopped her.
'Let her be for now...'
"I assume you're one of the twelve gods? What do you want with me?" Alucard asked her purpose deciding to ignore her comment.
"If I said I want some good sex would you add me to the list of young girls to deceive~", the woman asked and even went as far as open her cleavage a little, truly the Goddess of Love Eros...
"Aren't you a little narcissist to call yourself a 'young girl'? I can see that I'm not the only 'whore' in the hood... If you're up to it I don't mind, but the payment will be your blood~" he smirked and sipped more wine, if she wanted to give her blood away, he would be more than pleased, he wasn't particularly hungry for blood now.
"I'll have to think about that, How about we chat somewhere else, somewhere more private~", she said, intending to make them change locations.
The Yellow Flame Iron Brigade who had been listening to the bantering came out of their hidden places with their guns the moment they sensed an intent to leave, and Flower Rain was at the front!
"Stop where you are Vlad Tepes, don't make this harder than necessary!" Flower Rain, a highly skilled member of the brigade, billowed towards the two.
Her words attracted the duo of Gods but then...
*WOOOSH!*
"Stand Back Yellow Brigade, they're not your match" Another older yet graceful voice joined the fray as a woman whose appearance looked like she was in her forties, covered by a white robe appeared out of nowhere in a spatial wave.
Flower Rain nodded and the whole brigade stood back awaiting orders but their guns never stopped pointing at the two people.
"I'd like it more if you two didn't change places and instead talked here where I can hear you~", she said and floated closer to the two.
Her words instilled a huff of disdain out of the blonde Goddess, "Watch your tongue Cultivator, you stand before two Gods!" her pressure was released unconsciously and the privates of the Yellow Brigade felt as if a mountain was suddenly weighing on them!
Yet they didn't even cause as much as a flinch to the woman clad in white robes.
"Goddess Aphrodite, you're currently in Chinese territory and will behave according to the covenant of the gods, otherwise, don't blame my Hongmeng for erasing you and forcing you to reincarnate." her words contained venom and challenge, daring the goddess to act unreasonably in her territory!
The two women's gazes clashed for a while until eventually...
"Hmph! Let's go, Ares, follow me." She said and turned around, preparing to leave, in China they had to follow the rules but they couldn't force them to stay here.
Ares however chuckled at the exchange of the two and remained in his place, sipping his wine, he had come here to relax and somehow found himself involved in the strife between a cultivator and a goddess...
"Are you going to leave just like that? Was all that from 'standing before two gods' just false bravado? Pathetic..." Alucard spoke with all the calmness in the world as both women eyed him with wide eyes.
"So, woman, your name is Hongmeng? What will happen exactly if I don't feel like doing what you say?" He wasn't supposed to know anything about Hongmeng, therefore, he made himself stupid and questioned her identity.
"Aphrodite was it? Do you want some?" He beckoned the woman that was technically gaping and created a cup of wine for her.
'Insulting Hongmeng in China? Is he bold or plain stupid, or ignorant?' those were her thoughts, but they also produced some attraction in her.
He was right, they weren't doing anything or breaching the covenant, should they back off? No!
"With pleasure~" she sat beside him, her impression of him quickly changing for the better due to his bold behaviour, he could have marked him as just reckless and stupid, but having killed Ares gave him the capital to make her at least trust his wits.
The elderly woman frowned at the man's uncaring attitude.
Vlad Tepes, Chairman of Hermes' Brewings, The 'King' of Zhonghai and someone that was now more than ever in people's mouths after his alliance with Yu Lei and Maple...
Bold, reckless and also a hooligan, that was the profile the big families in Beijing held of him as of now.
Now he turned out to be one of the gods and also...
Great Completion of the Karma Fire Realm... He's not even suppressing it at all... and he should be able to call upon the tribulation to breakthrough.
'He's way more dangerous than Yang Chen...'
They held the record and profile of the previous Ares, Orinos... and he without a doubt wasn't this man.
That meant he killed the previous Ares and usurped his Godhood? the knowledge she had on the Gods didn't hold anything regarding how the Gods passed down their godhood, but that was the only explanation.
She could only make these questions in her head as the two individuals became cuddly and bolder with each other.
"You know, originally I came to avenge Ares, we had a few rendezvous with each other and he was a fellow god, not only that but you even beat my ex-husband's successor. I was planning to give you quite the beating, but you're turning out to be more pleasing than expected~" Aphrodite leaned on him as her arms encircle his waist with a flirtatious smile, his bold and easy-going apparent nature was to her liking.
Her words made Yan Sanniang flinch, 'Beat her ex-husband's successor... did he contact Yang Chen already?!'
