Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Attack on Falmiere (Part 3)
At supersonic speed Rosario and King are battling with each other sword attack. The only things that could be seen by the human eye were the afterimages of the swords and the sparks flying. Anything that is to close gets shredded into pieces such as buildings, the ground and demons. The two took distance from each other, then Rosario used her「Blizzard of Blade 」 skill. King drew his sword and suddenly with that one swing he not only destroyed all of the swords but cut upon the clouds.
Literally.
Rosario looks at the sky and became frustrated under kings power. With Excalibur her power level is 81,000 while the king's power level is currently 126,000, the difference in strength is clearly obvious. Rosario was distracted for a second and dodged the sword that was swung at her head, her face was warped with frustration.
'Damn it, what am I supposed to do now ?' She asked herself.
Suddenly she remembered something important. It was what Lucifer said to her the first time they met "You're too narrow-minded and because of that you'll never be able to draw out Excalibur true power" Rosario decided to take his words to heart and jumped far away from King. Rosario hold up her sword to her chest and closed her eyes. Suddenly she opened her eyes and they were glowing white and a tremendous amount of energy emanated from her body.
She charged straight at the king and swung at him. King clenched his swords and swung at Rosario. The two swords collided and there was an explosion of light.
…Moments later.
The light vanished, Rosario and King were standing at a distance with their backs turned to each other. Suddenly king swords cracked and broke and he turned to Rosario with a normal human smiling face.
"You've done well to surpass me and I'm proud of you," King muttered in a fading voice.
"Thank you teacher," Rosario replied.
"I've been free from his curse and now I can be with the one I love who's waiting for me in heaven, thank you."
King disintegrated into light particles and vanished with the wind. After he left Rosario fell to her knees then fell over unconscious. The sword's power not only exhausted her power but took a toll on her body.
In the meantime.
Pressila did a number of hand signs and punched the ground. Suddenly rectangular shaped blocks of earth raised from the ground at alarming and deadly speed straight towards Spooky who transmuted her aura into a grim reaper and with one swing of her scythe cuts down the attack.
Eve leaped on one collapsing pillar of earth all the way towards spooky. She drew her two swords and slash at her enemy. Spooky sustained a wound on her chest in the shape of an X but that didn't faze her.
In the meantime.
Fenrir sharpened her claws and clad her body in lightning. "Misreld you bastard!" She roared angrily and belligerently.
"Give us the power you stole," Mero demanded.
"You're already to late, the power of darkness now belong to me," Misreld responded, preparing to attacks.
"You don't know what kind of power the darkness is. It will corrode your mind and corrupt your soul if you don't have the affinity for it," Lelania explained.
"I wouldn't worry about that, thanks to the power of the tens of thousands of human souls I've collected I can achieve the ultimate evolution. Controlling the power of darkness will be very easy," Misreld explained.
"And you think we'll let you do that?"
Fenrir charged straight at Misreld but Bruce jumped in her way, he sent her a punch sending her flying straight back to the others. She looked at both her broken arms and slowly regenerated them.
"I'm at power level 144,000. What can a powerlevel 11,000, 5,000, 17,000, 44,000 and 36,000 hope to achieve against me?" Misreld asked as he read out the power level of Fenrir, Mero, Lelania, Miranda and Archibald.
'He's right even if we work together our power level is only 113000, it would take a miracle for us to beat him,' Miranda thought to herself.
"Why don't all of you sit back and accept your death?"
Misreld raised his staff and gathered a large amount of energy. He fired a beam with destructive power towards them. Miranda and Lelania stepped in to protect everyone. It feels as if time has slowed for them and death was creeping over them. Suddenly Lelania got a glimpse of someone dressed in lime green and black clothes who walked past them and stood before the beam.
The person raised his foot and kicked the beam straight through the roof of the castle, into the sky and outer space.
Every demon and Knight stopped and looked at the black beam shooting into the clouds. Rosario, who regained enough strength to walk on her feet, looked up at the hole in the sky. Eve and Pressila who were fighting Spooky stopped and looked.
"This presence!"
Spooky panicked a little and flew off towards the castle. Pressila and Eve went after as well to find out what was going on. The moon light shone in the throne room and everyone stopped and looked at the cloud of smoke.
"This aura!"
"He's here."
Mero became overjoyed with happiness and adoration once again as she waited for the dust to clear away. Standing there was Lucifer and his body was discharging black lightning every second. He slowly opened his right eye and looked at Misreld with his Dragonic eyes.
"That son of a bitch came back."
'Something isn't right, his powerlevel is 98,000 but I don't see his curse mark, could I be,' Fenrir smiled to herself as she figured out what's going on.
"What's this dark energy radiating from him, it's even suppressing my own powers," Miranda shuddered. In his eyes he was seeing a phantom image of an immense darkness radiating off Lucifer.
"That would our husband," Lelania said proudly.
"Say What?!"
"Say What?!"
Miranda and Archibald shouts simultaneously. Lucifer started walking towards Misreld when suddenly Spooky burst through the wall and attacked him. Lucifer didn't budge but casually reached out and grabbed her skinless skull. He closed his grip and crushed her head in his hand like a grape before he continued walking.
"Hehehehe, now that's what I'm talking about, time for a little payback!" Bruce barked and charged straight at Lucifer who didn't even budge.
He clad his hand in a darkness and with a single uppercut Lucifer destroyed Bruce's upper body. Fenrir and the others were shocked as they didn't see what happened, only that Bruce attacked and his lower body fell to the ground. Misreld was deeply surprised but he didn't show any sign of it. Suddenly Spooky and Bruce's body turned into small lumps of darkness that was absorbed into Lucifer's body.
'He absorbed the corpses without touching them,'Lelania thought to herself as she watched his powers expand.
Lucifer walked up the stairs until he came face to face with Misreld and the two emanated a tremendous aura comparable to each other. Their faces remained expressionless, Misreld's face felt uncomfortable, his eyes was glaring at Lucifer's face.
"Hm, it seems you've recovered the power of darkness and it's even stronger than before. I shall take that power and make it—"
Before Misreld could finished talking Lucifer slapped him in the face sending him crash into the wall. Suddenly his aura changed and a curse mark appeared on his neck, this time it was different from the one he had. He walked over to Misreld then step into his back breaking his spine. Lucifer grabbed Misreld's legs and ripped them off his body then did the same with his hands. Archibald was about to make a move when Lelania but her tail in his way.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you, right now he's getting revenge on Misreld. If you interfere then he would hesitate to kill you,"
Lelania explained.
"H-how did you regain the power of darkness?" Misreld wondered.
"The power of darkness was taken. It's born from deep inside a person's soul inside a place you know nothing about."
Lucifer plunged his hand in misreld back then ripped out his spine. Misreld screamed in pain sound in the entire castle and everyone who watched had a upset stomach.
"You took your time killing me didn't you, it's only natural I return the debt. I'm going to make your death as slow and painless as I can."
Lucifer lift Misreld's limbless body in the air and started to electrocute him with black lighting. Misreld screamed in pain and look down at his cane while he's still sane.
'No I can't die like this,' he thought to himself.
Suddenly the orb at the end of the staff broke off and flew straight into Misreld's chest. His power grew stronger and stronger until the ends up destroying the entire castle.
