News of the latest Leopard Men killings reached the police who act surprised at the information. Roger had been forewarned about this killing by Ben. Roger along with Piet set out with the coroner and a contingent of officers to investigate the killing and to search the area. Once again hoping that this time they would unearth something, and more so now as both men secretly hoped that the abduction plan with Veronica would not have to take place.

They both realize that she will be placing her life in their hands and her trust in the tracking device that was at this very minute being fitted into the handle of Ben’s knife.

If everything goes according to plan, all’s well should end well, but as we all know, life’s not always a bed of roses. It has a way of rising up behind you and biting you on the backside.

If something goes wrong, they and Veronica will have to depend on Ben to keep her alive until they are able to get to her.
