The men try to interrogate the chief but are met with stony silence, frustration sets in and it is all Piet can do to stop himself from throwing himself on the man and beat the facts out of him. In one instance Roger has to restrain him from attacking the arrogant prisoner, who sits across from them with a smile on his face, his filed teeth very prominent in his mouth, and not a flicker of fear in his eyes.
