I lay in bed, listening to every sad song I could find. That was after I stopped crying.

My door opened.

/"Christ, not again,/" Dad groaned.

/"My life is over./"

He walked into my room. /"Bella, people break up all the time. It happens. It’s time to move on./"

/"It’s only been a few weeks. I need to grieve./"

/"Well, mopey, summer is almost over. You’ve spent every day in here listening to sad, angry, and weird-ass songs. Give it a rest./"

/"He broke up with me over text./" I shoved my phone at him.

He looked at the message that read, it’s over. Have fun with my brother.

/"Bummer./" He handed my phone back to me.

/"Thanks for the sympathy./" I sighed.

/"I don’t know what happened, and I don’t want to know. If Andrew ended this for whatever reason, then you’re better off without him./"

I sat on my bed and looked at him. Dad was right.
