Nancy was perplexed as to why Christopher wanted to see her at the construction site at this hour. What was the important thing he was going to say? Her eyes widened, and she looked at Lance with a mixture of fear and excitement.

"Lance, take a look at it." She showed him the message. "He wants me to meet him at the construction site. What do you think he wants?"

Lance shrugged nonchalantly, his expression unreadable. "You should go and see him," he said, his voice low and husky.

Nancy hesitated, her mind racing. She knew that Christopher was not a man to be trifled with. Even if he was in trouble now, she couldn't underestimate him. She set her phone aside and sat up, her instincts telling her that something was amiss.

"I don't know," she said, her voice uncertain. "I've got a bad feeling about this. I'm not going to go there."
