Emotions swirled between Abigail and Christopher as they stood facing each other. Abigail's eyes brimmed with tears, her face twisted in a mix of anger and sadness. Recognizing her rage, Christopher realized he didn't have time to ask her how she found out he was at Nancy's place. He needed to explain himself and address her concerns as soon as possible.

He implored with a sense of urgency, "Abi, listen to me first before you start assuming things. I know I shouldn't have consumed so much alcohol. I made a mistake. But I swear to you, I didn't cheat on you."
