Chapter 488: Abigail’s confrontation with Nancy

Mr. Miller had finally called back. Abigail, who had been waiting for any word on Christopher with bated breath, answered the phone right away.

"Mr. Miller, please tell me you've found my husband," she begged, her eyes welling up with tears. Her heart was pounding in her ears as she waited for him to speak.

"Mr. Sherman had been drinking in a bar. But he left by 10 o'clock with Miss Nancy Stone. I've already gone through the surveillance footage."

Abigail's breathing became choppy. She felt as if someone had squeezed her heart. Her grip on her phone tightened, and her knuckles were white with tension. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Are you sure about it?" she asked skeptically, her eyes welling up with tears. She couldn't believe Christopher would accompany Nancy instead of returning home.
