In the dimly lit room, Christopher cradled Abigail in his arms as she peacefully slept. The soft glow of the night bulb cast a gentle illumination on their intertwined forms. Despite his exhaustion, Christopher's senses remained hyper-alert throughout the night.

Every little movement from Abigail caused his heart to skip a beat, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive. If she complained of pain, he was ready to jump up and take her to the doctor. He tried to be strong for her, but deep inside, he was scared and anxious.
