Christopher, seething with anger and frustration, paced relentlessly inside the room. He hadn't gone anywhere, yet he was still in the city, in another flat that belonged to him.

He had purchased this apartment for Alison. And after her death, he had never come here. This apartment had become a temporary refuge for him in the wake of his discord with Abigail. Though he had sought solace here, his longing for Abigail quickly overshadowed any desire for solitude.

Just a mere 24 hours had passed, and he found himself missing Abigail. He thought of going back home. So, he dialed her number to ask her to cook dinner for him. However, his expectations were shattered when he discovered her line was busy, triggering a surge of fury within him.

This infuriated him.
