Chapter 269: The future leader

The next day…

Sebastian called Jasper, who came to meet him in the office. He sat behind his massive desk, his face stern and determined. He gestured for Jasper to take a seat in front of him, his eyes assessing him.

"Jasper… I'd like you to return and begin the process of handing over your firm to me."

Jasper hesitated, his mind grappling with conflicting emotions. He had always been loyal and dedicated to Sebastian.

He had sensed Abigail's feelings during their meeting the previous day. Jasper recognized that no matter how much his sister tried to make Abigail fall for him, she would never love him back the way he loved her. He was still hopeful, though, but that hope was faint.

If a miracle happened, he would be able to make her his. But he realized that if he let go of Abigail and asked Sebastian to help him overcome the challenges, he could still save his company.
